A witch using following skills would be too powerfull and therefore imbalanced :

2. Zombies
3. Spectres
4. Fire Trap 1
5. Fire Trap 2
6. Fire Trap 3
7. Curse 1
8. Curse 2
9. Arctic Armor
10. Molten Shell
11. Frost Wall
12. Lightning Warp

not abuse. they are limited in how much support is attached to each ability. I mean, you link 3 active skills to a faster casting, you cant support your spectre and zombies nearly as well, with that set up, you need space in gear for auras.

Everything works out as you sacrifice support strength to add extra active abilities. You have to balance how many active skills verse how well supported the active skills are. You have to make that decision now as well, but it is a biased decision, as you cant actively use all your active skills. Though you could script macros and such to flip your buttons for you. I dont think using outside resources should make you have more options in game by design, and should just allow more buttons to start with.

Do I link 3 firetraps in my +1 to fire gems 3 link? Or two firetraps and a concentrated effect, or one firetrap and conc effect + increase aoe.

Do I use up two different sets of links for my zombies and my spectres to support them differently? Or do I link them both to just health and damage so I have room for frostwall and lightning warp and three seperate firetrap skills. I am pretty sure I wqant increase duration on frostwall, but then I have to take my flamability curse out etc.

It is all a balancing act, and using more active skills over fewer better supported active skills should be an option.

Utilizing the fact that you can change any skill on your skill bar at anytime in order to make the most of a diverse skill set is obviously "wasting time", guess bersi only plays ele cleave so he wouldn't know about that.
Another skill i don't ever dare to think about using it..
