Give me a bigger skill bar please !! PLEASE

Hello,

I want to make you pay attention to the following :

I was hoping to go for :
-1 second curse
-1 third curse
-At least Searing bond
-( Detonate dead ? since i am making a fire based build )
- Shock nova ( to shock )
- Totem ?

That's more than 4 skills i can't use.

It's not like Auras or Arctic armour which can be casted once.. I have to cast my curses and my skills every 5 seconds.

The actual skill bar limits builds diversity.. ( if you don't give option to expand it, my build will die, i will have to switch to the common FP/EK builds right? :/ )

Thanks for reconsidering. It would be very very nice to have GGG opinion on this.

Thanks for reading.

The artificial skill cap limit because of the hotbar is something I have felt was silly from day 1. I am surprised it hasn't been expanded.

hmmm, the only thing that i think would be apropriate would be an ingame macro that allows u to "tri-cast" curses with 1 toolbar option?

A lot of people run dual/tri curse and basicly u COULD swap them all out and back in durring a fight.(maybe some people already made macro's for this?)

But essentialy since it is posible, like aura swapping, it should not be considered an abuse, and just be implemented in the game.

However i think this should be the only expansion, the limits on the toolbar are there for a reason i think...some skills are just wicked if u stack tons of em o.O

The gameplay may became imbalanced if the player could use more skills at once as he can atm.

Can you elaborate as to why you think it would become imbalanced? I keep hearing this but I don't see how it would do anything but be helpful to build diversity.

+1 I would sometimes like to use more (active) skills.

Currently I'm playing a summoner/spell-caster witch and I'm running out of slots:

- raise zombie
- fire trap x2
- cold snap (would like 2 of them)
- fireball
- freezing pulse
- flammability (would like to run an additional curse)
- would like a totem too

the button on the scrollwheel is awkward -> only good for activating auras, not for active combat.

I always thought this limitation was an intended gameplay limitation. But is it? Or just so that the GUI looks symmetric? :)

imagine cold snap.
Basicly it has a 25% to freeze targets, and if u stack multiple gems of this, they all have a seperate cooldown (it also consumes a power charge for another cast without cooldown)

Imagine having 10 skill slots, u just put 10 of these in, prolifirate all, and game over.

Other skills are also effected by slotting multiple of them, how about 30 fire traps?

Just basic examples, but the game isent ment for that kind of change imo.

However the curses i think could be fair with an ingame macro, everybody could use it, and its what people already do.

Edit : post above hinted me the name of the skill i forgot :)

That wouldn't really matter. You can still only throw 3 traps at once, and based on their cooldowns, having 10 of them would be superfluous, even if each one exploded on an enemy the second you threw it.
You can also simulate what you described with Cold Snap without needing to slot it 10 times. Poor excuse to limit skill bar.

I don't think the Skill bar will get bigger.

The reason is the same as for why the inventory space won't get bigger.

PoE is about making choices. 'What loot do I take with me?' or 'What skills am I running with?'

When you factor in I have to burn a skill slot just to get a move command, I call foul.
