Give me a bigger skill bar please !! PLEASE

Shouldn't the skills you can use be limited by your gear, not by the GUI?

You can still theoretically run 8 cold snaps or firetraps, but is this really OP? Or totally unbalanced / unfeasible?

Probably the latter, else there would be youtube videos about it.

When you factor in I have to burn a skill slot just to get a move command, I call foul.


Well you can always just click empty space. The only reason the movement 'skill' is in there is because people demanded it.

Your correct clive, but im sure new forms of abuse would come to light when they enabled more skill slots.

And like a previeus post mentioned, and what i was hinting to, make choices and stick with them. ore put them on second weapon slot...ore swap durring fight if u really wanna go for it :p?

The only thing i could think of that could posibly change, is a curse macro allowing multiple curses to be put on one skill button. Since it is already posible/playable, just frustrating that it isent is build in the game.

Edit : u make a good point about the move command, i totaly agree this one should get a seperate skill slot, wich no other skill can be asigned to. It is very crucial and basic to gameplay.

The balance should be done by in-game means, like the number of sockets available, not by UI.

they can always put the movement on a hotkey. If you keep it pressed you will walk where you click.

Here is the thing though. Everything you guys say will be abused with more skill slots. Guess what, you can already do it now. It is just a slight pain in the ass or you have to use macros. So why am I being punished for this, exactly?
Game limitations should never be applied to the UI. The UI is my connection to the game, when you put artificial limitations to it on purpose, all you are doing is getting between me and my character.

I'd be happy if I got ASDFG as extra slots. Right now I use:

Attack / Dominating Blow / Ice Nova
Decoy Totem / Fire Trap / Flammability / Elemental Weakness / Raise Zombie

For auras I have Clarity and Discipline, but I can switch those away and keep the effect. However, I'd like to add:

Spark / Searing Bond / Raise Spectre / Vulnerability / Frost Wall

ZXCV might be nice to have too :P

why would it be op to have 8 coldsnaps?why do you need so many?you can perma freeze most of the screen with 2 of them.As regarding a large number of firetraps,you can already do this,i had a 7 fire trap witch in CB just for the lulz,i would swap 3 of them using weapon swap.Since we can only slot a certain number of gems on gear,i don't really see the point of a limited skill bar.

Sorry, but everytime someone talks about being 'punished' by something like how a UI is implemented I have to laugh.
