I would like to see better resistance in the skill tree against chaos. Not fair having characters with -60%+ against it (aka insta death). At least give us the chance of upping it to 0% against chaos in the tree (other than using ES).
I think there should be the value of your total resistance next to the maxed resistances. For example if you have 75% fire resistance and want to know how much fire resistance you can afford losing at your equipment because you are overcapped should be shown next to this value like +75% fire resistance (144% in total)

Devs, please consider doing this sooner rather than later! I'd love to have a mute button or something. When I am doing an extended gaming session, I continuously switch between playing my own music and listening to the game sounds and music. I'd like to do that with less hassle in the future.


On another note, I'd appreciate changing the color of the text of orbs, so that they are more visible! In a dynamic combat setting I often forget to pick up an Orb of Fusing, etc, and if I want to avoid such slips on my side, I have to stare at the screen too hard.

One thing i REALLY would like to see is SCALING the items to the monster level!!!!

Nothing worse than spending 10-30 minutes to take down a lvl60+ boss for only level 1 white items!!! Needs Scaling damage, RESISTANCE, SOCKETS, etc.

Example: level 1 resistance 5%-10%. level 10 res 11%-20%, level 20 21%-30%, etc. Not random like it is now. Sad seeing low 15% resistance items in merciless.

And the higher your level, the less 1-3 sockets you see, more 4 sockets instead.
Make a trousers for Templar and Marauder, please ;)
Thanks for the Q & A compilation, A minor thing that should be able to do on the application. You should be direct the sounds output on the sound devices you have installed. I admit it's a small thing and almost useless, but it's a neat and as a PC game it should be there (in my opinion).

Regardless thanks for the awesome game, even if I find game-braking skills to mix it's still fun (until you play on a harder difficulty). Gotta give credit where credit is due.
New Player Detailed Impressions and Suggestion List

First of all, thank you for making the game Diablo 3 should have been. Blizzard can introduce Pandas to the world of Sanctuary for all I care, for I have permanently moved to Wraeclast!
So yes, I think Path of Exile is an amazing game. There are some things in the game that could make it better though. Here’s my comprehensive suggestion list.

Skills:
1- More Chaos Damage skills are needed. At the moment this damage category is extremely underrepresented and there are no chaos damage spells for caster types. At the very least two more chaos damage spells are needed, one long range direct damage and another aoe.
Chaos Brand: A single target attack
Chaos Blast: An Aoe attack
Hellride (Movement, Spell): Leaves a Trail that does chaos damage.
Gaes (Spell): Makes an enemy fight by your side for a short duration during which the constantly lose health.
Mark of Chaos (Curse, Spell): Make’s enemies more vulnerable to Chaos Damage.
Lord of Chaos (Passive Node): +X increased Chaos Damage +X Chaos Resistance… Cannot use totems, traps, blood magic, or projectile attacks other than chaos .

2- Alternative Skill to multistrike: Melee is too reliant on Multistrike which depends on blinding speed. It would be nice to have a good alternative to that skill or maybe an animation alternative for Multistrike that is easier on the eyes.

3- This one is going to be controversial but I suggest a new weapon type… pistols! No I don’t mean AK-47s or glocks. I am talking about 17th and 18th century pistols. I think they would fit really well in the game’s dark ambiance and make for many interesting builds. These new weapons could be introduced in a future act that takes place somewhere in Wraeclast were highly flammable powders are discovered and used.

Story:
1- Wraeclast is a very interesting place with tons of potential – that is largely untapped. Just because Diablo’s universe is shallow doesn’t mean POE has to make the same mistake. I love the writing for the game, especially the duelist’s lines and monologue. Give the writer who is behind those the freedom to write more dialogue and exposition for future acts. Forget Diablo 2. Look at Mass Effect and The Witcher for inspiration. See how they deal with many deep themes, and how they flesh out the universe they take place in. If Path of Exile does that, it would be amazing.

2- Speaking of Exposition… don’t shy away from that. Think of the Exposition segments between chapters in the Baldur’s Gate series. Well written exposition when used correctly can be a great story telling tool. Make use of it.

UI:
1- Identify all button or keyboard shortcut

Gameplay:
1- When someone tries to pick an item but can’t because their inventory is full, it does not render the item public and prone to ninja salvaging when playing in a party.

2- In the Unique Map, Vaults of Atziri, make it so each player in the party get their allotted loot even if they are not next to the opened chest.

Trade:
1- Implement Trade tabs in the stash: This game needs an auction house or at least trade tabs in the stash to replace the spam fest that is trade channel and forum trading.

2- Kill Day Trading: The other day, I saw a player buy a wand for 20c only to repost it moments later for 3Ex. This is considered by many to be the most time efficient way to make currency in this game, and unfortunately they are probably right. This is detrimental to the game’s economy though because it makes good items extremely more expensive for those who most need them. To fix this problem, make it so that when you buy something from another character you cannot resell it until one month later. In other words items (not currency) cannot be owned by more than one account per month.

Economy:
1- Someone explain to me, how come Domination League which has only been around for months is swimming in exalted orbs to the extent that some people are asking for 60Ex for their items (like Shavronne’s chest). I have almost finished merciless with one character, made it half-way to merciless in another, did The Ledge and Docks plenty of time, and completed many level 66,67 Maps, and yet I have not even seen a single Exalted drop! Find out what’s causing the crazy inflation and fix it.

Races:
1- Fix them. Having the same 50 or so people speed running these gauntlets and winning them, with no chance for most to compete with these select pros is highly restrictive for the majority of the player base. Besides, the races, basically being time-limited speed runs are not fun to run. New events are needed that don’t depend on speed running.

Map for Act 4
1- One of the most popular farming maps in Path of Exile is “The Ledge”. It is a great zone for farming because it goes in a straight line, which means it is easy for parties to play together, it diminishes the chances of someone missing their item drop.
Hence, I suggest a similar Map for Act for that is like The Ledge but that is vertical instead of horizontal. A "Mountain Ledge" location in Act4 that depicts a mountain ledge that spans from the foot of the mountain to the top, with the players making their way up while enemies are moving in the opposite direction. This scene is inspired from the epic assault on Mt. Kolvir in Roger Zelazny’s book, “Nine Princes in Amber”

Micro-transactions:
1- Please make Skin Transfers Permanent and not consumable. It becomes too expensive to change the skin of the character every time the character upgrades to a new item. This is much more friendly for new players and encourages people to try out new characters, new builds, and new setups.

2- Introduce aesthetic-only Pants Micro-transaction: Plz, I am tired of looking at my Templar’s legs… and the Witch is malnourished!

3- Alternative Character Models: Though there are 4 Male characters in the game… only the duelist is cool. Marauder is a brute, Shadow is a punk (with very slouched posture), and Templar is a geezer (with a horribly dull personality). It would be nice to have alternative models for these. A Marauder that looks like a champion as opposed to a savage Neanderthal who pounds his own head.

4- Alternative Gender for classes: Exiled Prince as a Male Scion, Witcher as a Male Witch.

Dealing with RMT
1- Guys you need to be more serious in banning RMT. First put an end to RMT traders who are now openly flaunting their sites in trade chat! Second, shouldn't be difficult to find out who is buying currency for real money and who accounts that are farming and selling currency by tracking high volume transfers of disproportionate value.
