Common Suggestions and Feedback (with Dev Responses)

I have few ideas too, altough with open beta in full swing I doubt any of the devs will take time to read it. Nevertheless, it`s worth a shot.

1) Bestiary. Kind of a book, accessed from one empty slot near HP pool. When starting, no info would be displayed, but as you kill enemies, it would add info as to what skills they use, what are they weak against and so on. To add further spice to it, bestiary could be sort of a whole game side quest, in terms of some old man appearing in Merciless Sarn and saying he is historian or some sort, asking you to collect all data for him, so he can write tomes. Killing only 1 monster would be stupid, so for example, old man in Merci-Sarn would ask to kill 10 of each mob. Of course, tracker would be tracking from start game, so that all those hours used to get to merci would not go to waste.
As a reward - skill or passive point, or some uber-rare gear. And/ or title in-game so that whole community would know what you did and how long you played. For example: Don (name) or (Name)-San or Sir (Name)...

2) SInce relatively easy, after beating Merciless once whole game gets way easier... I know cause in CB after beating Vaal, whole pyramid is way easier, and only things left to entertain is maps, which after some time - get easier as well. So would it be possible to add some super ubber boss monster that like travels realm and challenges players to duel?
For example, before he would appear (anywhere in whole game map,in any area) game would signal (like when global notice of realm restarting is shown) that something bad is about to happen (to a player who ubber boss choosed to duel) giving him 30 secs or 60 secs to prepare a crew or himself to a duel?
For example, it can be in all 3 difficulties where boss would be made significantly stronger than all other bosses, and in merciless he is strongest, like 100 000 000 HP (or 1 000 000 000 to make it even more chalenging), putting top players to ultimate test.
Reward for that can be something equivivalent to Demigod`s presence in HC. I draw idea from FF series, where there was quest (FFXIII) to kill Gilgamesh, who is said to be best swordsman in history. He is accomapnied by wolf (Enkidu) and you need to fight them both.
So Gilgamesh or someone like him can travel PoE realm and challene best players (or just about any) to duel by showing up wheter they like it or not. Only exception would be that he does not appear near act-boss areas, from obvious reasons. Upon defeating him, he would congratulate you on besting him with promise that he will return after he hones his perfect skills, to challenge him again. TP opens up and he leaves to unknown area (while plaers are restricted on entering that same portal).

3) Quest guild. Like many RPG games (ok I know PoE is not clear RPG) but in many RPG games there are side quests. These quests can be anything ranging from bring that and that item, to kill this and that. Of course, XP rewards would be significantly lower, so that players can not exploit it, but rather use it to build their base up for upcoming boss or quest. I know you can simply walk in area and kill all, but after some time it gets boring to keep grinding same area or areas for XP. LIke this things can be spiced up a bit, adding fun to gameplay. To get quests better, they can be marked with difficulty rating, rating from A - hardest, to like E - easiest. S could be for special, non regular missions, that would have better loot/exp/drop. This would be similar to maps, but unlike maps, it would not take you to other areas, but rather than that, to areas that are normally visited in game.

4) Increased XP orb - need I say more? It could be made white, like portal gem, and could not be linked with other orbs, to avoid exploit.

5) Pants (mentioned before). Add pants please. Isn`t it a shame that savior of the world (player) goes back-naked against hordes of enemies. Hero could catch a cold, man! Of course, no sockets on these, to prevent OP, altough like this it would be the same. But pants please! :D

6) Capes (or cloaks). No hero goes on a horse without elegant cloak behind him. Of course, like in pants, no socketing, but rather only stat increase. Such item would behave like second amulet or sort.

7) Banners. I`m not sure how it`s called but I believe medieval samurais used to carry it on back, towering like antenna over their head. Again it can behave like amulet with no sockets and only stat increase.

8) How about more weapon bases? For example, katanas (before mentioned), crossbows, oriental swords (not sure if they are in game already), pistols (why not? when wands can fire like ones, why not some sort of magic pistols (but not magic rifles/bazookas by any mean))!

So much from me now, hope someone will read it! :)
Movement: Maybe make the shift key also hold you in place when you're already running somewhere. I find myself sometimes moving around enemies more than I intend. Also when holding down the attack button on a monster to keep attacking, it has to be held in place for you not to move away. Maybe it would be better if instead you keep attacking your target with the mouse button held and stay with it until it's dead. I just feel like I'm moving around a little bit too much.
Town Portal tweak: When one got disconnected, if the last town portal is still active, it will remain until the idle instance has been trashed, as oppose to immediate removal of active town portal upon disconnection. The instance is still there anyway, at least now one can jump right back in.
Pants are for nephalem, we are exiles, we do not need pants.

How about this:

Put a timer on speaking in trade and global, 5-10 secs or so. Just so people can't spam.

Is there a curse filter? If not its something you might want to add, if someone wants to disable it, fine, but then they waive the right to complain about cussing.

Not allow people to make offensive user names. Certain words would be banned when making a character. Pretty self explanatory here.

Do all this and very little to no moderating in game will be required. I'm puzzled as to why GGG hasn't done this already. I'm sure the moderators here would rather play the game than have to moderate. I don't even see why there is a report button. There shouldn't need to be if people are just unable to do the things that people typically get reported for.

This is a video game, no need to babysit when its not even necessary.

Sorry if it's already been posted, but...

I think it would be great if we had an option to disable the highlight of minions, as if they were just part of the scenery. Of course we wouldn't see the life of that specific minion, but I guess the portraits with the numbers are enough here. It's awful trying to target an enemy monster (or even chests and doors) with all those minions around it.
I know many times it's been already discussed, but please make pvp for cruel difficulty as fast as possible..
I feel no interest to playing further after 40 lvl because of lack competitions with other players. (have not interested in race leveling events by now)
First of all I want to congratulate you on a obviously not finished, yet amazing piece of work. Lots of concerns I had were adressed in the opening post, yet I stil find myself looking for a solution to this.

Its really mocking on a tiny detail but the fix should be just as tiny. Your currency system is great, but I'd love to see

1) currency items stack in a higher size but more importantly
2) being able to buy items from the vendor without carrying the currency (aka items in stash being accessible while being at the vendor)

A 'disadvantage' of your currency system is that you would have to carry various different items with you in an already small inventory and to be honest, always running to stash and back just to buy something is a bit troublesome, at least to me, don't know if anyone agrees.

Would it be possible to implement paying from your stash? I understand that you have more important things to work on, thanks for reading :)!

It's a pain in the ass having to check manually the level of every single item you have.

Hi, I did a search, quickly cause I'm pressed for time. How about an option to turn down particle density? My old video card doesn't like fire or water very much, it is also difficult to see enemies sometimes through all the particles.
