Whats wrong with this picture guys? Inventory Space in PoE issue.
" Yeah, but do it manually every 4 minutes? "It feels like holding my breath under water constantly." Me about the limited "life expectancy" of the inventory space on Path of Exile and frequent needs to go to town to unload. Last edited by Interesting#4599 on May 23, 2012, 8:09:42 PM

" If people are picking up only rares, then there is a even worse problem with the design. I dont want them to change that. I want them to change the inventory issue, not the itemization one. Thanks for bringing up how PoE did inventory RIGHT.
I Hate the D3 inventory system, it's patronizingly simple. Inventory tetras is one of the best parts of getting loot. On a related note, if PoE made it so you could rotate items in your inventory, I may just have an orgasm on the spot, just saying. Last edited by Herianden#7982 on May 24, 2012, 3:58:19 AM

I should mention Torchlight 2 too.
From the video review of the beta that TotalHalibut posted on youtube. Check that HE DOES NOT LIVE A SINGLE ITEM ON THE FLOOR. HE PICKS EVERYTHING. HE CLEANS THE FLOOR OF ITEMS. Thats what I wanted to do in PoE. The game has player inventory using a single slot per item and a pet inventory. Just like the Fate games. This time you dont ever fill the inventory and when you do, you can send the pet to town. The player himself just needs to go back to town every once in a while because of that. The pet even buys consumables. While in Path of Exile they ruin the experience of looting with their outdated inventory system. "It feels like holding my breath under water constantly." " Path of Exile is going a different way than TL2 und D3. In PoE, Inventory Management is a part of the game, in TL2 und D3 it is not. In PoE, the player is supposed to make choices what to pick up and what to not pick up. That's simply a design decision GGG made. Some like it, some do not like it. You cannot please everybody in every single aspect of the game. Disregard witches, aquire currency. Last edited by dust7#2748 on May 24, 2012, 6:38:25 AM

@ Interesting: As each days pasts it gets even more ridiculously surprising that how you were selected for alpha. Your posts are senseless as it ever could get.
You even did not know what GGG's goal and intention already by now, yet you keep insisting and dare to say that you want it in your way, unblushingly ? Firstly, learn GGG's goal before opening a mindless thread like this next time, you are contradicting with GGG, and acting like a regular keyboarder, let be a beta member. What's even worser, cycling same bullshit over and over won't bring any more bigger inventory space and you know that. "This is too good for you, very powerful ! " If you read GGG's stand and philosophy with character slots you would see that having such a limited inventory could be seen as going against that philosophy. Why give 24 character slots and yet be "stingy" with inventory slots? I agree with Interesting that more could be done to make inventory management smoother and more user friendly, it is especially inconvenient for some weapon classes. Ascension tied to Lab is the worst thing GGG has done...apart from GGG's philosophy on Trading. Oh and Gambling Loot boxes. And selling out to tencent. I used to love GGG. I supported to ensure GGG remained independent, now I just wish I could get my money back. -_- Last edited by Chameleon#4418 on May 24, 2012, 6:48:32 AM

" Giving truck loads of character slots is another ridiculous thing GGG had mistaken, many members have already told it honestly by opening a few threads not so long time ago. Anyway, back to topic, I know already well what is GGG's stand against inventory management and it is clear enough for a couple of braindeads in this thread who still couldn't get. Since search function is terribly misleading, can't find many of his posts regarding this matter, but i'm 100% sure that it is how i told already. And it is already user-friendly unless you wouldn't be so lazy and decide yourself whatever you should pick or not, that simple. "This is too good for you, very powerful ! You want - You take"

" So, 2 posts ago, you openly (and rather unintelligently) insult the OP for "not knowing what GGG wants" about something that you obviously agree with, but then in this post, you insult someone for agreeing with something GGG obviously does want that you do not? Hmmmm..... " But Interesting opening a thread about inventory space is an issue? Get back under the bridge troll. |
