Using NVIDIA Insepctor and forcing SLI on to get both GPUs running neither core gets over 70 degrees so that fixed that.

Still getting random lag spikes and poor FPS sometimes though :(

Totally agree with OP, I have the impression that no computer in the world can run the game over 60fps 100% of the time. They should work with AMD and Nvidia to optimize performance.

There's a reason why PoE is the joke of the gaming world and 80%~ of its userbase has long since quit since Open Beta. Game needed more competent developers, it had a lot of potential but I fear it's not going to be much longer before this game is shutdown due to how horribly it's programmed.

That is a bit much but in essence I agree. Optimization is one of the most most important aspect of a game .... no matter how potential it has, you cant realize the potential if people literally can not play it.

Also to the idiots that think "oh it runs for me so far so its everybody else that has a problem", go make a party with 3 summoners plus some lightning strike, just 4 players total not even max party, and tell me how good your fps is.

Yeah I like the game alot got to maps in hardcore on my first character.

Top of the line system, cant stand parties because I get ridic fps drops. Cannot tell what is going on in the slightest.

I am waiting for graphic fixes.

I like how a GGG employee posts on a thread where a guy just swears non stop about how shit the game is because his RNG wasnt very good..

But and actual thread like this discussing important parts of the game that the fans actually care about and are slightly intelligent are overlooked and are silent.

I would be putting V-synch on, as 300fps is a tad overkill, and simply taxes your card.

I dunno, it seems like specific things to me; Ice Shot for example causes MASSIVE frame rate drops, so do a couple of other things. But generally, even with everything maxed in the graphical options, I HAVE to have v-sync enabled or this game makes my card wicked hot since I get well over 100 FPS.

OP, you really need to manually edit your fan settings, there is no reason you should ever go above 70-75 degrees if you have proper fan settings (and even that is high).

But yeah, PoE is incredibly poorly optimised. I'd like to say they'll fix it soon, but it will probably take years due to them pumping out new content more than optimising what's already in the game.
