and i agree with the rest who have stated that abyssus+carcass > bringer of rain. one thing u need to factor in when deciding which has better dps, is that for rain, the lv 18 melee dmg and faster attks are not "supported" by 20% quality, so u're losing a decent amount of dps there.

however i'll recommend bringer of rain instead because it's simply SO much more cost efficient, and u won't lose all that much dps overall. got to say rain is one of my favourite uniques now, coz not only is it useful, it saves u the cost of buying an armor as well. if it had come out before i geared my facebreaker duelist, i definately have not bothered with 6l carcass instead.... cost efficiency ftw.
WTS Tons of good stuff : http://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/379249
WTB Godly MF witch gear : http://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/346658
Paying VERY well, just let me know if u have upgrades for me
Also bringer of rain is MANLY. Armor is for pussies.
Edit: double post, sorry!

Patch notes released, some pretty huge changes all in all.
Notably:
-Oak reward for Cruel is now spectacularly awesome (+18% phys). Of note is that bandit respecs will be implemented in the near future.
-Rustic Sash's might end up beating Meginord's with awesome rolls, will have to test upon release.
-Endurance Charges nerfed slighty.
-Granite Flask nerf (3k from 4k)
-Inner Force cluster nerf (From 30% to 18%)
-Elemental Adaptation nerfed to 2% from 5%
-Marauder nodes have added strength on a few, notably Troll's Blood and possibly Armor Mastery.
-The +15% res nodes have been nerfed to 12%.

Will update with skill tree and dps and all the good stuff once the patch hits.

I believe that Inner Force now may no longer be worthwhile to take, instead we might be able to take the armor nodes in Mara. We shall see.

I think this build will profit a lot from the changes. Now you don't need that many uniques, but can roll yourself a good rustic sash. Combined with a good quiver the dps should go quite up :).

I'm looking forward to testing the changes made with this patch.
Especially since i don't need to focus that much on my defence now.
Hey, you are wrong on something. Life gained on hit is good with cyclone, i use it all the time with 6.5k hp to keep my hp pool up. Since you hit so often with cyclone, 45 HP per hit is a lot with a good amount of attack speed.

45 hp a hit is not very efficient compared to 8% life leech (or more) on 9k dps, which easily caps out the life leech cap, especially on single target.

How many chroms did it take you guys to get the carcass to 3r 2g 1b?

New fusing recipe is amazing.

Not too many if I recall correctly. Maybe about 100-150.
Patch doesn't seem too groundbreaking for FB Cyclone, but I do notice that my now reduced 25k armor is now even more extra mitigation (estimated 73%, 85% with Granite). HP wasn't reduced much, about 900 less than before, but Inner Force nerf kind of hurts. DPS went down to 8.7k with Life Leech, and 11.3k with Added Fire Damage. I still don't find Added Fire that useful compared to Life Leech, but will continue to test since armor is stronger and monsters apparently hit less.
Still using the same build from before the patch since I haven't seen many changes in regards to improving our damage, so we might as well continue stacking HP relying on FB to bring damage. Of note is that because HP is decreased, HP regen is also decreased, so keep that in mind when using your blood magic cyclone, because it will now drain hp more easily.

Just waiting on bandit respec so I can change out from my two skill points to +40 hp and +18% physical damage.

Edit: Just from playing a bit more after the patch, I have personally concluded that HP is more important now than ever before, simply because mob damage did not get nerfed to the same proportion as hp, and as such, mobs hurt even harder than before, especially elemental mobs. Leech has also gotten semi-nerfed since the leech cap rate is lower. Getting life rolls on the most pieces of gear possible is even more vital now.

I honestly noticed that the mobs hurt me a lot less post patch than before, although if you relied on inner force pre nerf for your defenses that could be a big part of it. Most people probably no longer have capped resistances and if they were inner force they would have lost a bit of their defenses, so that is something to check as well.
