Wouldn't it be smartest to use like a quiver, such as Blackgleam for this build? =D

It depends on what stage you are at. During the early stages when you're trying to boost cyclone dps, every little bit helps and a quiver like Blackgleam or Broadstroke will give you the extra edge.

However, once you get past a certain dps level (say 2k), or reach the maps stage when defense becomes very important, you will probably want to trade in your quiver for a nice shield. The minor increase in offense is not worth losing 3 skill gem slots + the defensive bonuses you can get from a shield.

The beauty of a Facebreaker build is that the offense is already there for us through gear/gems; we can afford to use almost all our skill points to spec for defense.

Also keep in mind that this build allows you to take full use of your two available weapon slots, as you aren't using a weapon.

I've recommended on the first post that you have a quiver (Broadstroke will do) in your first weapon slot, and a shield with life and all resists in your second weapon slot. This way, if you're in a tough fight, simply press 'X' to gain a bunch of life and resists. Ideally you'll want a quiver like the one that is linked in the main post, with life, resists and flat physical damage.

The above poster is correct though, in saying that the extra tankiness and skill gem slots will be invaluable in the end-game.
Hey i have been running this build for over a month(44 days) and playing almost every day and im level 71 running end game maps and here is my feedback

-The default build kinda sucks imo. The hardcore one is better in all cases even if you are playing default.

-The default build sucks because of the lack of iron reflexes which is a major core survivability keystone

-Just a lack of base stats on Dex you wont have enough of it for late game gear. But with the hardcore build you will. Also increased area of effect nodes are really not needed on cyclone if you really want increased area of effect go for a quality cyclone gem.

-Get the 2 30+ int nodes if you grab these nodes you will have enough int to level all your auras to 20.

-Blood magic is a must on cyclone if your going run 4 auras and no mana leech on cyclone. Go for blood magic. I still have yet to try mana leech on cyclone, might work.

Im currently level 71 here is my gear

and my current skill tree:

If you're going Iron Reflexes, why not unwavering stance?
IGN: NemiSplosion
Because Cyclone already brings stun-prevention.

Out of curiosity, how much Chaos Resistance are you Abyssus users rocking? Currently using a Geofri's to boost it up, but I suppose getting it on jewellery could make up for it.

Hello,

Being a casual POE player, I am not very educated on Auras. Ive seen a lot talk about those in this post for Facebreakers.

Could you share with me why you run the auras you do? I have tried them in the past...they ate up too much mana. With us doing over 900% extra physical damage, I never wanted to take an aura to increase cold damage or fire damage.
Not playing anymore. It was a fun ride since 2013!! I just browse the forum now. ~~~~~ "We are spiritual beings having a human experience, not the other way around." ~~~~~"All that you are is the sum of all your thoughts."

With iron reflexes, Grace gives a huge flat boost to your armour rating.
Determination not only increases armour from gear, but also the armour from the Grace aura.
Purity is invaluable to raise your max resistances (and help with the loss of a weapon slot).
Hatred is the only aura that scales off your physical damage, so it will give you A LOT more damage than the other two elemental-damage auras would.

If you link as is described in the skill gems spoiler on the main post, you should be able to have all four auras running, and still have enough mana for curses and other skills.

I only chose these four auras, as they are the only ones you will get any real significant benefit from.
Ty for the reply regarding auras.

I was looking at the skill tree...

Can unarmed not crit? i see you chose RT so you never miss, but never crit?

Can you explain this? I know or thought IB could crit and catch them on fire. Does this build avoid crit nodes, crit stats and crit armor?

I see the tree also goes north for increased radius and damage.

Please explain?

Is this to increase the AoE of Infernal Blow? Is it for the auras. Is it for cyclone??

For now, my only other question is...

How do you know to put mana leach on IB instead of Cyclone? Will you get more mana from IB versus cyclone?

Same goes for life leech. Do you use life leech on both skills, or 1 over the other based on benefits?
