[2.2 Whispering Ice, Lowlife, Pure Unique wearer 1900+ Int, updated]
" I did get stormwaver in an earlier version of the build but when I didn't need the mana regen anymore I dropped it. So we can ignore the mana regen as it doesn't do anything for my current build 1 skillpoint = 10 Int at this point too. That dex node is being converted to Int by the nearby jewel socket too so we need to include that. If it wasn't I would be connecting the tree from the Templar area like this

Above average for a node and cast speed helps give the build more flow EDIT You could always pick up Retribution and just not spec into Amplify and spend those two nodes elsewhere but I think that Retribution is just too much value. The stormweaver 3 nodes average out to just over 14% per node. This is pretty good for the points but Heart of fire/Ice has a better ratio then that so If I was looking to get pure damage nodes and not Int for more ES then I would be looking to get that. Hi WaffleT,
first of all I'd like to thank you - I really like your guide, very detailed and well written. I might try something similar myself in the near future, already have a Whispering Ice and think it's awesome. I have a few questions for you and would be very happy if you could help me out/share your experience: 1. Do you think this build can do the very hardest content in the game right now? With that I mean Uber Atziri, Lvl82 Core Malachai and the other three bosses there, as well as other difficult 81-82 maps. Would you adjust anything (gear or passive points) for this type of content compared to running 75-80 maps? 2. How do you deal with difficult map mods/what mods are impossible for this build? Are Ele Reflect maps still dangerous with Vaal Pact? How do you deal with Ele Weakness maps, since you are just barely capped on resists? 3. Question regarding the items: What is your opinion on replacing the Bated Breath with an Auxium? Could give up to 90 ES and would also help a bit with Max Mana and Chill/Freeze duration. |

" Thank you very much for the compliments :) I think this build can do any content. I'm not a hardcore gamer enough to have the fragments to run uber atziri but I think this build could do it with how simply we steamroll over bosses at the moment. I wish I could have tried a level 82 map to say for sure as I've never had one drop but I was doing level 80 maps with ease so if they are not too much harder then I think they would be very doable. Merciless Malachai certainly fell over without doing any damage as I got to him while progressing through the game. For that content I would recolour the staff and swap hypothermia for concentrated effect as that would have maximum effect on the tough bosses. I had considered Auxium as the ES is very good. I would probably change into that for uber atziri. I don't consider the freeze duration worth anything though as freeze is never an issue and I always run a removes freeze flask for strongboxes. Atziri reflects curses so for her I would swap into rare gloves with high Int and ES total and add in a CWDT warlords mark. The vertex has "enemies cannot leech mana from you" and Sin Trek has "enemies cannot leech life from you" making you immune to that curse. (I used to bother but now just take the temp chains and kill her without swapping) As I mentioned in the flasks section a taste of hate and rumi's concoction would really improve defence as well. Finally a big panic button to have would be Vaal Discipline - Increased duration - Faster casting I run ele weakness maps but you do need to be careful when you do, I can see most people wouldn't want to but this build can play very defensive, if you cast your storms ahead of you then you kill offscreen. Reflect also not an issue with vaal pact and 81% fire resistance, 91% with flask popped. The mods I reroll are blood magic, double resistance lowering curse and no life or mana regen. I've currently lent my items to a friend of mine who saw my build and wanted to try it out so I've rerolled a new character I'm just getting through merciless atm. Here are the upgrades I had planned before I started a new one. Items to Vaal

Build looks intresting, but poedb.tw link isn't letting me see the tree =(

" Ah yeah that website appears to have gone down. I've changed the link on the main page to poebuilder.com as thats updated now. I tried making the tree on the official one but its really slow and visually more difficult to work with. Sorry GGG :P |

" Would you mind posting your gear. You have an interesting approach to this =D IGN: LessBow

" My gear is kinda crap. Whispering Ice Alpha's Howl Solaris Lorica Asenath's Gentle Touch Sin Trek Astramentis Cold Doryani's 2 rare Rings I know Rare Boots can be better than Trek's without Perandus but I am too lazy to search and trade for good ones. I play in Warbands so I have no Shavs and no Legacy Perandus, but one day this char will go to standard and will then get a huge boost I guess. I also will test the non-dodge setup with Kaom Boots, when this char hits standard in a few month (replacing Grace with Anger then), but so far I will stay with my Howl Dodge Setup. |

" Thanks, yeah that .tw website has the best tree builder. Damage is very very good, but I am having trouble with the resists =( I should be using the fire damage doryanis right? IGN: LessBow Last edited by Schn1tt3r#5216 on Aug 8, 2015, 12:56:32 PM

" Fire Doryani's and rainbowstride boots are to cover resists until you have all the aura effective nodes and are running all 4 level 20 purities in my endgame setup. I also use one 5% all resist and Int jewel to make up that last little bit and get them all to 81% resist. |

Cool build that i might try once i get the staff !
I was thinking about this kind of approach but i was planning to maybe had a 2nd curse. Maybe it has been answered previously but did you try it ? Getting a ele weakness on hit asenath gloves and either wearing a dual curse item or spending 3 point to grab the node. Lowering the resist usually makes a LOT of difference damage wise so i was wondering :) Maker of ZeeL's Amplifier.
