Cool build that i might try once i get the staff !

I was thinking about this kind of approach but i was planning to maybe had a 2nd curse.

Maybe it has been answered previously but did you try it ?

Getting a ele weakness on hit asenath gloves and either wearing a dual curse item or spending 3 point to grab the node. Lowering the resist usually makes a LOT of difference damage wise so i was wondering :)

I have considered double curse a few times since the gloves are cheap and you can corrupt a bunch to get the desired result. The problem is there is only 5 ways to get dual curse

Option 1: Corrupt the Astramentis to get +1 curse (expensive)

Option 2: Swap to rare amulet with +1 curse (even if it was perfectly rolled to get us all the strength and dex needed for the build we would still lose almost 100 Int comparing to the 160 Astramentis gives for being a unique item, which is %ES this build doesn't want to lose)

Option 3: Swap a ring into Doedre's Damning (loses us about 300 Int and would lose waay too much damage and ES)

Option 4: Swap boots to Windscream (loses 120 flat ES and 30 Int. less bad then option 2 and 3 but still sad)

Option 5: 3 points in tree (hard to make cuts)

Option 1 is the best option for the build. Followed by option 5. I have considered it a few times but I feel my damage is so good anyway that I always end up prioritising getting towards the big Int/Jewel nodes as they grant us a whole lot of %ES to give us defence as well as damage and seeing that ES total rise is more beneficial
Yup that's pretty much the problems i have when i try to build the dual curse.
I din't think swapping a ring would make a 300 int loss tho ^^

Won't corrupt my astramentis as it's a legacy 18/96 (i wish i knew onyx would get nerfed and hit +20aa implicit before :s). I think i'll try to go with the 3 points in the tree and see how it goes.
Still need to get the staff in the first place this bitch won't drop an farming cards doesn't work :s

I'm doing double curse with the corrupted Gentle Touch gloves.

I spent the 3 points for the dual curse notable. I believe the points I scrapped from the tree were Coldhearted Calculation and the two int nodes leading up to it over in the Shadow area. It is a loss of 30 int (plus the % bonuses) and 12% spell damage. I didn't need the mana regen and the physical damage is of no use, of course.

To me it feels good. Everything caught in the chilled ground and hit by the crazy number of ice shards gets slowed by the chill, has temp chains on them, and has their elemental resists debuffed by 29%. And don't forget the extra damage done to chilled mobs from Hypothermia. That's a seriously gimped mob by that point.

EDIT: I corrupted mine myself and got lucky on the 4th try. Good luck to you if you try it.

Great build seriously surprised by how much leech i get from the 2% enough to face tank hard content, highly recommend the build its not to be underestimated.

Atziri wise its actually pretty epic, trio i precast the icestorm on the the girl and then when she drops i use vaal skellies and the just kill the distracted cycloner and dualstriker

Thanks very much for the kind words. Yeah icestorm really excels at boss killing. Stacking up storms is more damage then almost anything
Amazing build. Its so tanky its unbeliavable.
Gratz.

You show the power of late game but what build are we suppose to do for early lvl? freeze pulse? magma orb? summon skele

There is a ton of leveling guides that work with any tree. The beauty of normal difficulty is that you can run pretty much anything you like, there is nothing too challenging even if your skills and tree don't quite match yet. You only need to get to level 33 before using the staff.

Currently the most popular leveling skills I see before casters transition into their actual build is flame totem/firestorm
Hey waffle, question, why don't you get Faith and Steel? For 2 points, you get resist and don't have to use a resist gem... or you can still use the resist gem and be more safe on ele weakness maps. The ES + armour + resists seem very good to me for only 2 points.

Howdy thats a good question, its something I mentioned in my guide as an option to make your resistances meet. To break it down those 2 nodes provide

+28% armour (This stat is useless. Our build has no armour)
+15% energy shield
+8% resistances

My choice was to get the 10 Int node and a put in the Fertile Mind Jewel into the socket between Witch and Templar for +44 Int which gives us

+14.96% energy shield
+40.04% increased damage (roughly based on the 9.1% damage that a 10 Int node will usually give)

The build is so tight that there isn't any nodes you can cut without losing a jewel socket or big Int node so the nodes that just provide %ES tend to lose out in terms of value if you can make your resistances meet.

Though its another point I think I would be more tempted to try and allocate Nullification from Shadow as it gives evasion rating instead of armour which we do use for the same payoff node. It is one more point though as its very difficult to make cuts.
