[2.2 Whispering Ice, Lowlife, Pure Unique wearer 1900+ Int, updated]
No, I was not using empower - mine is only level 2 but haven't been able to make it work out keeping all auras on the vertex and shav's while still effectively splitting the right ones to life and mana reservation. I still feel a tad short on mana at the moment but I think I've got a fix for that tonight when I get home from work.

I also played around with sin treks last night as I had a pair in stash. Was wondering why all relevant stats went down whereas you indicated a gain. Then I checked the wiki and my pair has rock bottom rolls LOL. I'm trying to get a better pair in case I can make the resists work.

New gear talkthrough https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HJgGxFDOWu0 Level 78 map runthrough. (keep in mind due to framerate drops while recording I'm not dodging attacks that I would normally so I take more damage then normal) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9yKEqjavsBI @Urgatorbait haha yeah I had really poorly rolled Sin Trek boots too. Luckily they are common as dirt so it cost me nothing to buy a max roll pair |

I'm super tempted to try this build (I have the staff + shavs already) but the one thing keeping me from going for it is that I have no access to legacy Perandus.
In your opinion, would it still be worth going for it? I'm just worried the price isn't going to match the results with that 18% less int. |
|
" I'm sorry to say it but I don't think so. 18% Int loss at this point is 250 Int which is about 900 ES and a lot of damage loss. I mean I think you wouldn't really notice and have a blast up until level 90 but around that point you'd hit a bit of a wall and if you want it to go into super endgame it would struggle. I'm a bit lucky that I had everything I needed for stacking Int since I did it pre 2.0 to make a lowlife righteous fire character. If I didn't have the rings I think I would use a similar tree to mine but just use rares with as much Int and damage as you can on everything. rares can roll a lot more ES then all our uniques so it would be tankier. Just damage would suffer a fair amount. |

" Let me help you with numbers here. I have x2 legacy rings equiped. Im still leveling (lv77 and low 1346int) with 2311 tooltip dps without conc effect. If I remove 1 ring dps go down to 1847 tooltip. So 3% with my current int = 464 dps / 3% = 155 dps per 1% on the ring Later on lv90+ it will be approx 200dps per 1% on the ring. So by not going legacy rings you will loose aroung 400dps tooltip. Solution: buy new 2% rings now if they are cheap and upgrade to 3% if you like the build since 400dps tooltip is alot. My plan for finalized level 90 tree (int maximized) Notes

Unfortunate, i'm forced to use a very suboptimal jewel to cap resistances. Hopefully i can come across a better one soon or trade for one. Working on leveling my 2 enlightens now to fit in Arctic Armour again. I miss the amount of tankiness it gave me, i highly prefer it to hearld of ice. Now that i've removed voidbringers, mana is a non-issue. I still self cast Rallying cry for the damage and mana regen increase (old habits die hard). No more warlord's mark so i swapped in molten shell in my cwdt setup. The blind gem can be helpful because of how often my cwdt goes off, it almost always blinds all enemies around me and with the new shock nova's base chance of 15% chance to shock, i enjoy the extra damage bonus vs shocked enemies. Currently my stats are 7.6k ES, 1411 Int, 4.1k Tooltip dps. IGN: Standard League - Dark_Captain Last edited by lDantonl#7148 on Aug 4, 2015, 2:38:22 PM

" This has been asked several times now so I'm going to add a section explaining it to the main page TLDR version: Avatar of fire gives more damage per node then other options @lDantonl Looking good man, I'm a bit surprised you can cap your resistances with your purities being 2 levels under cap. With 1.56% effectiveness each level really matters so you'll get them up there :) Part of what I like about this build is that 6% increased experience is quite noticeable. I will note that I think I would have changed to arctic armour if my HOI wasn't 20% quality. the flat damage isn't actually that great its the global 15% increased cold damage combined with it that makes it so effective. I spent a while theory crafting getting some more reservation and swapping herald of ice into anger since anger would get the 1.56x bonus for being an aura but it barely increased DPS numbers without that 15% increased damage quality boost. Current tree looks fine however with your future plan I agree that getting that 6% aura effectiveness node next to Soverntity is worth it but I think you'll find it tricky to drop both 4% reduced mana reserved nodes and still run everything. You don't appear to be running the arctic armour/herald of ice setup at the moment but if you want to one of those as well you'll need that extra node. You may also need to spent the two points to grab Primal spirit below vaal pact. The 20 Int and 15% increased max mana helps get your total up to a point where you can reserve 95% of your mana and still have enough to comfortably cast the storm. You also seem to plan to spend 3 points to get the 20 Int node Catalyse in Templar. Just a note that you can spend 3 points below Sovernity instead to get the jewel socket. Even a really poorly rolled Jewel will have at least 20 Int on it. The unique ones are cheap with up to 24 Int on them and there is the potential to get much more Int, %ES and damage then Catalyse ever could on rare jewels |
