Fuck those item shop threads, they're awkward to post items in and it's next to impossible to use them without 3rd party site. Why are you so against better and faster trading system? I have limited time for game and I want to kill stuff, not set up shop, spam trade chat and browse through 3rd party websites.

I find it hard to believe that anyone can be fine with the current scrolling trade chat system that PoE has going for it's 'trading system'.
Poe.trade shouldn't even be counted in this discussion, it's a fanbase saving GGGs ass. PoE's trade system is one of the worst I've seen. And Chris stating that trade changes are incoming for more than a year is even more embarrasing. And stop picking on AlbinosaurusRex, goetzjam would claim that red is blue, if GGG said so. „I don't give a fuck if it was his tenth anniversary with his goddamn neckbeard...“

In regards to saying red is blue is GGG said so no that isn't the case. My post are from my perspective, not GGG's. Also the trade system is much more then trade chat spam, if you can't see that you haven't read any of the discussion at hand in this thread. @osesek you are in the same boat as rex, refuse to use the system, yet for some reason are compelled to complain about it. It takes much less time to list items with procurement then it does to post lengthy replies in this thread, yet rex chooses to complain. He can't even be bothered to use the system he is complaining about to give valid feedback. In regards to your limited time, that is an issue you will have to figure out how to work out. And with these kind of personal attacks you are just proving that you don't have anything substantial to offer to any discussion that is remotely critical of GGG. What trade system except that trade chat has been made by GGG? You reffer to forum threads where you put your stuff and and then people click on those threads and go and check each of the posted items until they find something they like? I don't consider Poe.trade as a 'Path of exile trading system'. I actually have been critical of GGG in the past, simply making this generalized statement because this particular issue I am not for changing is asinine. I've submitted arguments and counter arguments to this exact thread, but by all means judge what I've said on the very last thing you read. The forum threads are searchable you know, if you don't like to use the search options on the forums poe.trade will search and display them for you better. Believe it or not the trades actually still happen in game, its only finding (and listing) that happen outside of the game for the most part. To everyone who is championing the unique non-in-game approach of PoE:
Seriously, just go and spend an hour or two playing one of the many games listed, on this very thread, with in-game auction houses. Report back how it's completely destroyed the game, with pictures and analysis. Thanks. Here, I'll get you started on what is possibly the most wrecked-by-auction-house and soon-to-die game of the lot: http://www.wowwiki.com/Auction_House Disclaimer: I trade, and it stings every time, particularly the multiple different steps outside of the game for what should be a seamless in-game process; but perhaps a little less than the continued silence on a new trade system, since GGG last posted about it before cars were invented (intentional hyperbole). It took me days to get the last item I bought. There was no other alternative for the particular item so it all rested on being able to get in sync with one seller. |
