Did you remove /oos or fix desync?

Thats just a bug and you should report it in the forum for it. Guess you pushed her up there with Heavy Strike and now she is stuck and spams skills into the strange alternate glitch world.

Edit: oh, just realized the video is named "positioning bug".

It's not as much as ignored as it's a given/known. I'm pretty sure they still see most of our posts but some require research and some are already answered. Any desync related issue falls under it's known and answered, even though they probably have seen it. It doesn't require a post/response.

Though it's about time they posted a sticky topic for the desync topic to continue. Just so people don't have to go and research themselves on what the issues they are experiencing and ending up in complaint about the situation as if it's being ignored.

Typing a one line reply then closing it would have been enough.

I don't think enemies being knocked back into walls and getting stuck or teleporting from a non moving position into the walls is the same as a de sync, enemies can't move into walls normally so it's not just a positioning lag update.

No one said it was an easy fix and no one claimed to know better than the devs. I'm not sure where you're coming from to be honest. You sound like you're offended that people are pointing out and providing feedback on a big issue. Guess what, that's what you do in a beta.

Labeling us trolls and trying to derail the thread does not help the game progress. FYI I have stopped playing the beta as the desync issue is too game breaking for me to have any fun.

So in conclusion, if you can't handle people discussing game issues, don't click on the threads.

Even thou u take it very personal, perhaps it aint you i am talking about then? If u havent whined about why they havent fixed the problem yet, no need to feel so hurt by my post, and just move on.

Its the other people in the thread that behaves like i stated, my post is aimed at.
As GGG has said many time, they are working there best to fix issues in the game with there very small team, and for that I thank them.

As one of the dev's said, you cannot contrast this game to d3 (other than poe is over 9000% better) because of the team size and how the game works.

GGG Keep it up, I know I will support you guys till you no longer exist, which hopefully will be never.

People need to stop talking about Ground Slam when people mention desync makes melee unplayable. Ground Slam is not melee, it is a ranged attack. Try using Dual Strike/Double Strike/Viper Strike/even Cleave (though it has an AOE so isn't quite as bad) with heavy desync. It is damn near unplayable.

People use GS for 2 reasons...

1. It's got a medicore cone range so you have a better chance hitting those desync'd mobs. Run backwards, shift click forwards... Pray mobs followed you, even though they're showing up behind you. That being said, half the time the mobs are still wide right or wide left and you're just shift clicking air again.

2. You can't melee in this game, past cruel. So you shift click GS and basically play a ranged class.

But mainly because you can't click mobs in this game because it's 50/50 the mob you're clicking is actually where you're clicking. Half the time you're derping air.

Sorta Related sidenote... Brutus is the most desync mob in this freaking game. You literally can't just run around him without him desync warping, or invisible smashing, or invisible desync'd grapple which pulls you to a random spot even though there may or may not be a wall in the way?

So let me get this straight, so long as you are clicking on an Enemy and are attacking roughly where the server thinks the enemy is, will result in you hitting the enemy?

I mean there's like an AoE field that you can attack within and have your attacks counted, so long as you are actually targeting the enemy? (So being out of sync greatly worsens the ability to stand in place to attack via holding Shift because you're aren't targeting any specific thing...)

Is that how it kinda currently works? Because I do notice lots of times I'll kill an enemy but the loot will spawn quite a distance away.

Get off your high horse already... You DO know what it takes to make this game? you DO know what is the best priority to fix and work on?

I'm sorry has GGG forgotten to give you a yellow name and mark you as an employee because I believe you're up someone's ass so far there someone's eating for 2 in that office...

You haven't probably even read a single page on this topic before posting your all awesome suck-up for the game. There is nothing wrong with showing support and love for a game you like, and a team that's doing great work.
But not in that tone, in this topic. You sir are the troll pretending to be a fan of the team and game. You're not even willing to put some research in a topic before posting calling everyone trolls and stating we're wrong about our criticism. And it's fine to show your support, go do so in the appropriate topics on the forums. There are many and you can always make a new one for it, I applaud you to go and do it because I'm sure dev's love those topics.

That fact that we make such a big deal and the (de)sync issue is so big on the forums might be an indicator just how much we do care about the game, how much we love it and want to play it. While we are unable to due to the issues.

oh and p.s. beta or no beta, the second they gave players the ability to invest money in the game, they also gave themselves a responsibility to deliver a quality product. While having "dodged the bullet" myself I can understand the frustration for players who have invested money in the game already while unable to play. This situation exceeds the simple "omg it's beta and free to play, tough luck you put money in it".
Yes beta means there will be bugs and there will be issues, it's not the final product but a state where the game is no longer playable in any decent form is neither...

edit: And FYI, I do think this might be one of the best games in many years for action RPG's and it will probably make every action RPG's players top5.

Maybe it's just that I'm still moving towards the enemy on the server end but on the client end I'm next to the enemy the whole time whacking away? And damage doesn't actually take effect until the server thinks I'm next to it.

I would love to know Chris, Damien and other GGG members what do your work hours look like and how much sleep are you actually getting during this stressful beta time. I'm running a small landscape contracting company pulling 70 hours a week between work and paperwork and I cannot even fathom what you guys are doing.

I haven't slept since Thursday night (it's Saturday morning now) and Mike on the support crew was with me all of last night having had only two hours sleep which is pretty indicative of our hours of late.

I know Chris pulled a 30 hour shift or two recently and support staff has been extremely stretched with non-support staff and siblings even being pulled in to help during the 9pm to 12am shift. I've done a few all nighters and ended up in hospital for high blood pressure and overexhaustion haha - I went straight in the next day because I really wanted to get the skill fx microtransaction vids out the door and hey, I love my job!

But yes, we're stretched in some senses but also enjoying what we're doing and really loving the opportunity of having the game out in the wild for people to play.

@F2Pelerin2010 - I am - for some reason they wouldn't cast me as the witch! ; )

Wow I've just gained infinite amounts of respects for you, not that I didn't have a lot before that but damn, that much hours with that much sleep? Props to you. I have never experienced that but it must be awful and great the same time since you do a job you love. I hope this game gets more better and popular which I think it will. So great to see such a willing and engaging development team with such a good response to the community, although the community does seem to demand a bit "too" much or some just go nasty with demands. It's an indie developer company guys and the game is completely free, give them a break.

Looks like /oos was put back in with the patch, but desyncing seems to have gotten even worse today. After grinding out 80% of a level (slowed down from having to play very cautious due to all of the desyncing) and hitting /oos whenever I'm clearly desynced, I then died 3 times in about 10 minutes to stupid fucking hyperspeed puncture snakes that desync-warp from room to room to right next to me. Back to 35% of a level. Back to the shelf this game goes.
