Nerf Voidbearer

woah you guys must be squichy i can outheal rare voidbearers most of the time. <_< its called lifeleech instant pots. enouf dps. have fun :) or use a trap to run away. i have never died to a voidbearer. yes they do insane damage. and i love them for it.

I had no problems with them on Cruel with my Level 52 Marauder, but I had to be very careful. Their damage is insane, especially the Blue Elite version. What worked good was kitting them with Ground Slam.

The solution to all melee woes being "kite them with ground slam/lightning strike" (aka not be melee at all) is just my favorite thing about poe right now, let me tell you.

I have to agree with the OP, but as some have suggested maybe not nerfed per-se but changed so that players can at least run away effectively.

I don't think the monster in and of itself is that bad, but the RARE versions of the mob which are the true terrors. Certain yellow combinations are just insane.

For instance:

The worst thing is finding a Yellow named Voidbearer with a Haste Aura. Those things are killing machines.

I think the reason they are so strong is that everything else in the docks is weak, it would be far too effective to farm if not for the poor dogs.

I don't even think they are a problem, except for 2 thinks: HASTE/FRENZY AND...MULTIPLE PROJECTILES.
Unless you have 90%+ fire resist, a rare pack with multiple projectiles will kill you in under a second. Rare ones can pretty much do the same by themselves.

Voidbearers are the sort of monster every attractive grinding zone needs at least one of.

Similar monsters should be added to ledge and fellshrine.

Blue pack of voidbearer.. i died almost instantly even spammed my insta potion 68level map 80 all res dw duelist 3500hp lvl77 atleast didnt lose any xp =)

Oh btw is that chaos damage?
