Nerf Voidbearer

i do not want these guys nerfed and admittedly i do not even try and fight a multiple projectile version of this monster. but nerfing them would just make that area easier. its the area that everyone farms, there needs to be something there that can kill you.
Voidbearers are the number one reason why I don't farm Docks and farm Battlefront instead. The magic packs especially melt my Decoy Totem like it was made of paper.

The worst thing about them is their ability to literally stunlock you to death, if your resistance isn't quite up to snuff.

Honestly voidbearers are the reason I don't run Docks at all. I'd rather farm Solaris Temple, the fireball ribbons are far less bullshit :|

I find the docks far to small for farming sessions. As soon as you get into a groove, you've cleared the area and have to restart.

Solaris Temple's massive size comes in handy for this.
stack fire resist and bathe in the comforting heat that Voidbearer's provide

only real scary ones are the packs that have the multiple projectile mod

I play a summoner though and have Enfeeble & Temporal Chains, so Docks is pretty easy farm mode for me

Or perhaps you should have a spec based on more then just 1 attack. Go deeper into the the wide range of abilities. Pick up something that can kill at a distance, even tho its not as effective as your primary attack. They are though, but not impossible. A maurauder can easily Ground Slam them to death. It just takes a bit more time that usual.
How about no.

Not everybody wants to play ranged characters.

lol. That attitude will not get you very far in this game. You need to be able to adapt and create well rounded characters that can deal with all sorts of situations.... its not click + win.

I'm sure you'll be quick to adapt if the melee skills ever receive enough damage and/or usability to make it worth putting your character into melee range.
Or the other skills receive appropriate nerfs, just look at kripparians full-screen groundslam guaranteed stun build and try to tell me thats balanced and retains the games challenging outset.

Just accept that not everybody only wants to powergame at 100% effectiveness.

I think these guys are great and their damage is just fine. It's nice to have some monsters in the game that command some respect, and voidbearers are the only thing that make the Docks the least bit tough.

Personally I use conversion trap to deal with them, it's hilarious to convert a guy and watch the others burn him to a crisp while I, in turn, burn them. :-)

I almost agree. I died to one of these when I was in Normal. I had no idea what was in the zone, and it hadn't been difficult up to that point so I wasn't paying close attention. I notice a teammate's life draining and as I'm looking back at my life it's under 5% and before I can lay a finger on my pots, I'm dead. It happens and they're strong, but this isn't D3. Just because it's difficult, doesn't mean it should be nerfed to hell and back. I'm fine with people dying to situations they're not familiar with, like Kripp dying to double boss on maps. Don't dumb down the game because people are dying. I want a tough game.
