Nerf Voidbearer

Voidbearer - found in The Docks. Completely and utterly overpowered, especially for the melee people who try to tank for the group. A magic or rare monster easily kills lvl 58-60 max resist players in Cruel. Cannot fathom Merciless difficulty. Why make something so cheap? I have max all resist, good health, 40+% chance to block, energy shield, and so forth and there is no contest to certain magic and especially rare Voidbearers. Not only does their "blue fire" attack have a long range, it drains and clears groups with too much ease. Decoy Totem? Dies in a second flat. Regeneration Totem? Doesn't even contend with the HP drain. Please reconsider.

+1, I still don't understand what type of damage this is.. because even with 75 resistances on my 52 shadow this thing will destroy my 2k HP pool if I don't get out of the way.

Exactly. At first, I thought it was cold damage, because the attack is blue. Then, I noticed miniexplosions on my armor during their attack, so I guess fire. Who even knows. The damage is just too extreme. The Docks is a good place to xp grind because of the monster density. I'd say maybe the other Skeletons and Archers are a tad bit weak, but the Voidbearers are outrageously difficult with their attacks.
I don't think their damage should be nerfed(yes it does do a lot) but instead simply make it so they cannot turn and chase you with it. This would lead to a still very serious enemy if you are not paying attention as well as creating more positioning openings.

Or perhaps you should have a spec based on more then just 1 attack. Go deeper into the the wide range of abilities. Pick up something that can kill at a distance, even tho its not as effective as your primary attack. They are though, but not impossible. A maurauder can easily Ground Slam them to death. It just takes a bit more time that usual.

Bear traps
I noticed some monsters that do fire damage, having incredibly damage amounts too. Skeletons with fire damage, archers with fire and explosion damage aswell as fire mages etc.

I dont know what it is but sometimes they just hit for like ~750 damage through a fire resistance of 50% which would make them have 1.5k damage dealt... maybe its not because of a single attack but rather because of a whole barrage of hits? The above mentioned mosnters seem to have mini hits, aswell as the machine gung monsters at the end of act 3. Also Fire mages with splitting seem to quite hit hard...

Some of these Hits almost feel buggy to me, or at least unintended. You can allwys avoid if if you are aware of the thread, but for newer players its definitly a deathtrap, not knowing that some pesky fiure skeletons can kill you even though you have like 75% fire resistance.

Anyone else experiencing this kind of behaviour?

regards
They're pure fire, AFAIK. A hotter, lethal version of Flame-totems. Not so sure about whether to nerf them. I'm sure the devs are hoping that someone in the entire population of open beta will actually equip and use a Ruby Flask....

EDIT: Like the totem skill, it hits at ~12 times per second.

The worst thing about them is their ability to literally stunlock you to death, if your resistance isn't quite up to snuff.

Honestly voidbearers are the reason I don't run Docks at all. I'd rather farm Solaris Temple, the fireball ribbons are far less bullshit :|

im using ruby flasks on my dock runs just because of this enemy. combined with purity my fire resist is 87% and i can stand in a group of a few of these bears with my 1.4k hp witch.

first impression was like WTf too but they still manageable - if you really want to.
