I only logged in to say that I find it insulting to give me my dream league (all previous HC leagues) only to make it non-hardcore.

Think that the GGG could include an award based on the smallest number of deaths, to encourage hardcore players to try not to die.

Okay, here's my problem with having a one month non-HC league. This is partly why I think the HC community is getting so fired up as well.
If this event were to be run as a HC league, everyone can enjoy the items they find and characters they make going to their parent league. I play HC perm league a lot these days, and the prospect of a one-month league that allows me to take the characters and items to my parent league was the reason I planned on playing. But here's the thing - softcore players can just kill their characters to have them on their parent league. So everyone can play and keep their progress. In a one-month non-HC league, I'm literally wasting my time. I don't play Standard, so all of my progress is for nothing. I would be playing for nothing more than a lottery chance at winning some MTXes. As an aside, I have no issues with softcore. With the rise in one-shot mechanics and the continued failure to address sync problems, I personally would prefer to play Standard. But none of my friends will leave HC, so I play there. And this 1-month league is a total waste of time for someone like me. The idea of an insane league like this is really cool, though, even if it is just combining previous mods. Team Won

Is there any reason for SC-only league?
I mean why would you upset a number of players (not majority but still) with "no HC alternative". A parallel HC league at this time causes any harm or becomes a burden, or SC-only league presents some benefit that outweighs the discontent? I would really like to know if it can be stated publicly. The 2 week was hardcore, this is softcore. Its called being fair.
