Town Survivability - 3050 life / 2601 mana / 133armour(1% phys reduction) / 2000 evasion(19% chance to evade) 75% all resists / -22% chaos res. 61 life regen / 91 mana regen / 16%MS

Battle field - level 19 Arctic Armour / 3495 mana (792 un-reserved) / 116.4 life regen / 171.2 mana regen

on standard I had a 86 CI summoner, 7k es/little armour/evasion discipline/purity of elements/vitality. was strong and could handle 1 heavy hit but got raped by titty bitches/crowded by small dmg dealers so I chose to go AA to mitigate the small/fast dmg dealers (seems to be way over 40 % of the ememies) a one shot heavy boss is going to kill most pure summoners.

after minion nerf.. drop bone offer/rejuv totem/minion resists/life leech/convocation/ add some more damage gems. you will still loose 2x the clear speed and ADD 10 extra mins for checking/vendoring EVERY item to sell in your shop as you now need a GG 6L armour/es hybrid to even start raising minions that stay alive long enough to deal some damage in 75+ maps.

But wait, that is not all. What about the summoners survivability.. no zombies on the field = more agro on you.. respect most +1 zombie nodes & Necro Aeigis. put point into minion instability. grab more life for yourself. same shit, Slowly flicked.

I would prefer enemies to be easier to kill but reward less xp. It feels good to be OP and I find it fun. I don't want to sit in the same map design for 20 mins after I have been levelling for the past 50 hours in those areas.

don't let the 1% of people with shavs, 100 exalts worth of gear tell you minions are fine as is. They are not and need a buff with this nerf to snapshotting/minions.

I think minions need more resists/life regen/life leech and damage on the nodes that are already here so we can make our summoner viable/safe


total time to get build ready - 5 mins - clears 10+ average maps without re-summoning.
overall you are giving us more to do lol..

I don't like snapshotting and I'm really happy it will be fixed soon.

On the other hand there is one snapshot mechanic I actually like. Switching support gems!
Honestly how boring could be summoner only with minions and auras up? You know just walking around and do nothing or occasionally re-summon minions. So I like possibility to summon minions with different supports, then remove support gems and replace them with curses or other utility skills. Interesting trade of here is need to hold minions alive and choose utility skills or minion supports with corresponding colors.

I hope this will maintain.

nobody will do this every map, It's for Atziri runners/Making on average 3 ex per run. they are still making profit after doing this every run.

I like the removval of snapshoting. I always thought, given enough time to adjust, Righteous Fire (I myself am playing one at lvl 91 in Ambush) and Summoners will be good enough without it.

The thing is: If snapshoting is removed, GGG can start to balance things without having an obscure mechanic in mind that NOT every player knows about (yes, only about 10% of the players, I would guess, watches youtube vids and reads this forum or reddit, even dedicated players I know wouldn't bother).

See BMs: My friend was using them. They where ok. Not OP, but he could kill white trash mobs very fast, and then he needed help with bosses to have perfect clearspeed. He did not use snapshoting. Then we saw the vids of players snapping BMs, and the experience afterwards was way different. We where suddenly limited only by his runspeed. And that was bad.

Same with RF. I use only a light snapshot (Searing touch), and I am just fine, doing all maps solo and I am very usefull in parties. I will stop that, and I alreday bought a Doryani's for the offset. I will be very much the same after the removal. And IF the damage of RF will not be suffizient afterwards, IF GGG sees complaints about it, and IF the balance is off, they can correct it now, because they don't have to worry about overseeing the creation of a unique that suddenly multiplys the damage by some insane ammount.
All these people going on about zombies and spectres and how you're vulnerable with no zombies. Did all of you forget to have summon skeletons somehow?

Skeles are there to eat hits and die instantly, and with doing so keep other things (zombies, spectres, you) alive a bit longer. Spell totem it if you need to cast other things.

Funny video, epecially trap+mine thing, that was tested not to actually work. Great job on adding fuel to the fire of unnecesarry hate for ingenuitive people. God this feels like bullying more than anything GGG has ever done...


P.S. Hoping summoner uniques will be reworked to be usable. Only summoner uniques have double drawbacks - awful stats for a character and mindbogling minion drawback with only sometimes good buff. Montregul's comes to mind - only perfect one has a possobility of usage without snapshot - and sill probably won't be used.




haha, that whining post @Allnamestaken.. Simple sulution.. PLAY ANOTHER BUILD! your are not forced to play summoner if you cant handle it, like in all the other games... what doing instead? snapshotting? show me one game where dis is allowed...

yeah, summoners will need to have skeles now. What a mess about.. 4L for skeles/4l for zombies/ 4link for auras/6l for spectres leaves 6 spaces for survivability - codt-molten shell/enduring cry, flesh offer,desecrate,curse. Time to use those feet. more time added to mapping. I dropped skeles as soon as I tried my guilds 20/20 setup with spell totem. nothing here to see
It's a shame that you're going to remove this.
Things like that can really make a player stand out and it's not without it's (minor) drawbacks.

OK, I knew snapshotting gear, I didn't realize snapshotting skill points was a thing. No wonder Regrets went up in value.

That whole system is just stupid. Thank you, GGG, for removing it.
