Build of the Week Season 2 Episode 10: Snapshotting
" So you think getting a huge advantage ( around DOUBLE the defenses/offense of other builds) for the tradeoff of having to a little snapshotting after you login is OK. omg lol, that sounds like an explanation for using cheat engine in DarkSouls. Hey, I one-shot every boss but I have to start that cheat program every time I wanna play DS so I am penalized enough man !!!! "The templar is the perfect choice of an honorable man, a true gentleman. He is a man of god. His words are true and pure. Finally, he wears no pants because he has no shame to hide." Oh, and before I forget:
I love the way you are announcing this way in advance, so that players can adjust and plan. It's the kind of neccessary communication that also would have helped at the beginning of sacrifice of the Vaal. I love the way you handle flavor, and that you tried to do SotV flavourful and not just state facts and numbers, but hinting at "Stuff will be easier to find later on!" would have prevented a lot of grief about Atziri. Informing players about changes as early as possible (and maybe be able to adjust given the reaction), even if it sometimes kinda offsets flavour, is very much appreciated. |

So glad this is getting removed.
These builds can still be used, but you won't be able to faceroll all content without some effort. Now you just need to fix cold snap so I can use 4 at a time. |

pretty interesting to hear the thoughts of the devs about snapshotting. good video.

" You would think they would adjust, but tbh back when they did the partial snap shot fix there was much QQ even though it was a fairly obvious unintended exploit and that it would be fixed, which was verified several times by the devs months before the partial fix. When the patch goes live completely fixing it there going to be sooo many bug reports about it and tons of QQ. Ancestral Bond. It's a thing that does stuff. -Vipermagi

My kid plays sumoner, he doesn't even know what snap shotting is.
When his zombies die he summons more. Since he doesn't snap shot it takes no time at all. God_of_Thieves_LLD_PVP__I hate the Labyrinth

" yeah, today this build seems to be for kids, no endgame for summoner now |
|
" That is, pardon the language, complete and utter bullshit. In our guild are 2 players playing lvl 80+ summoners. Both do not use snapshoting. Both are absolutely doing fine. I love running with them, because the meat shield they provide makes the party almost invulnerable to most of the mechanics involved in hard bossfights, and they do tons of dps. They run maps solo, and high lvl ones, like 75, 77s, maybe skipping the boss if it does huge amounts of burst damage, but so do I on my lvl90 Ranger split arrow. Summoners will still be a really good, viable, and usefull addition to the game after the removal of snapshoting. |

Really intrigued by how you're implementing the fix, hope we get at least a basic breakdown at some point.
Is it truly being removed for all possible uses? If you cast raise zombie with a 6 link setup in a staff and weapon swap to a setup with an unlinked zombie gem are the zombies instantly weakened? If I swap back would the zombies get strong again? If I equip multi curse items, cast curses, then unequip the items which curse persists? When I kill a man he stays dead.

Complaining "my minions will die and I will have to resumon them"
Is like me complaining "my bow ranger shot his bow once and the maps not clear." God_of_Thieves_LLD_PVP__I hate the Labyrinth
