LOL at the people who even care about the name of their character.

" On the contrary, I'd say first-some, first served is about the only fair way to decide something like this. Some of these people have probably been using their current character names for well over a year now. I don't see how you could justify taking them away now. And if they did wipe the names now, should they do it again on the official release of the game? Or what about at random intervals after that? It would be just as "unfair" to those new player to not be able to get the name they want, right? I would support occasionally wiping INACTIVE character names, bu that's about it. If a character hasn't been used in 6 months, or maybe even 3, then sure go ahead and free it up for someone who will use it. |

" I would support this if and only if GGG sent a 1-week and 1-day reminder before they changed that inactive character's name. (can't delete the character since it may have stuff equipped, which wouldn't be fair, but I think changing the name to something like "Official_PlaceholderXX123141 would be fine) "I see now that the circumstances of one's birth are irrelevant; it's what you do with the gift of life that determines who you are." - Mewtwo

" Registering first had little to do with how the beta giveaways actually were. It was all about luck or a friend who had a spare key. So basically the ones with more connections were the first to receive a key. Yeah tomorrow the first ones to log in will get their name first. But at least EVERYONE has the equal chance to try and log in first. It's actually sad that so many people forgot what the purpose of a closed beta is. It's not to have an advantage or something received. It's for helping the dev team and testing and NOTHING else. In my book that name reserved thing is unfair (aside when it's for the ones who payed yeah..) Anyway im done with you guys. Some of you are such ragers.. per aspera ad astra Last edited by BlackPhoenix#6359 on Jan 22, 2013, 11:55:39 AM

How would it be unfair? Everyone who is currently playing either payed to get in or waited to get invited by the time (even if given a key for free someone paid for it). The perk of being able to reserve all the names you'd like to use seems to be a nice addition. The people who didn't want to part with $10 don't have any right to complain about not getting their favorite user name. Especially because I imagine most of them have played other games that cost them $50+ but they couldn't pony up $10 for this one.

" That is true, a ton of people payed a bunch of money to support a game that wasn't 100% certain that it was going to come out. Now thanks to them, we can all finally enjoy the game. Don't you think these actual supporters deserve something a little bit in return, like not have their character names (which they played on for a few months) taken away from them? I really don't see why you are against this. Why would you want to take somebody elses name? One post a day, keeps the Death away
