what you mention here is actually something I really like. Since this game is meant to be played for about 10 years, there has to be at least one thing that not every player can get by simply playing the game for 6 month. And that is quality skillgems. They are rare, upgrading them is pretty much the most expensive thing you can do in this game, but that's the whole point for me.
You keep dreaming about those perfect 20% quality gems, and getting them is a real quest. And if you are ever capable of completing a build of 20% gems, you have something pretty unique in the game.
I like that this isn't something that every player has to have to even be viable, but instead a long term way of improvement.
And the thing is, with all those mini leagues and races, you keep collecting quality skill gems and orbs, maybe even win some GCPs, and after you're done you can invest all that in your high level high gem quality build.
Would be pretty boring if the game was balance in way that you pretty much have all quality gems by lvl 70.

The thing about the orb cycle, let's wait what GGG has in store for that in open beta.


Oh, and an auction house will not happen. That has been confirmed several times.

Maybe we could just have market place, like notice board and you would click on it ingame and you would see active items from players that they want to trade and what are they requesting for it.

That would be a....Auction House.

We have a trading forum on here, and IIRC GGG has stated that there will be some form of trading via their inventory system through the website.

yes i quit d3 as well, this game seems really amazing and hope for a ton more from this game in the next few years and plan to play big time

That would be cool :).

That would still defeat the whole purpose of the trading system for me, which is about bartering, about supplying what somebody else needs at the moment. And if you still want to do that, then yes, there is a trading forum.

I still hope for a dedicated trade chat channel, where offers are posted.

Yuo know what i am just happy i don't have to return to Blizzard anymore. Because GGG will be next Blizz and they actually care about what you say. They just hitted the Sweetspot with this game, really i enjoy so much in POE. There are no words to describe this joy.
