Hardcore Character Restoration after 1.0.1 Carrion Queen Bug
" Then why even add trigger gems to the game.... |
|
" The warning is that a Hardcore character will not be restored FOR ANY reason. What was your point, because I don't think you know... |
|
" The issue is about which people are upset. Same with legacy uniques when 1.0 came. Do we piss off the people with these uniques by making them the lower values, or do we piss of the people who can now never have those uniques, or who may have sold them a day before they found out they weren't getting nerfed. The reality is there are a lot of instances where people have died and it's been 100% the fault of GGG and they tell you "Sorry, reroll." Why should it be any different now, because the game is "live"? |

" not for lazy asses like you. That's for certain. |

" if you wanna easy mode. go play tetris level 1. the nerf is so good, i dont understand why people want that old CwDT back. dont you wanna find out new builds, check new possibilities and be not dependent on a predefined 4L? i dont get why people are crying about this. are those the people who come from league of legends where everything is shiny and bright? or do they come from diablo 3 and just wanna press Right Mouse Button and whirlwind through everything like hot butter. this is not diablo 3 nor an easy mode game. i am speaking from the PoV of a tryhard Nemesis. flame is warmly welcome. best regards, Tobi P.S. if you find that this nerf is soooo bad and sooooo unfair, please craft your own game. srsly i hate humanity these days... |

I can't believe the amount of crying I am reading in this thread.
GGG introduced a very bad bug that instantly kill people and they admit their fuck up, fix it and repair the damage it has done and you cry that they did it? Are you that fucking stupid? Yes I am swearing because I can't stand people that cry over the dumbest shit. You are all acting like spoiled childrens that should have gotten beat up once or twice to knock some sense in your head. When someone do something nice for you or to someone else, your reaction SHOULDN'T be to attack them out of spite. You should be grateful for their action because if it was you that needed help in that situation, you would have received it. I'm seriously disgusted at what I am reading in here and I can only hope that reading this will make you realize how ridiculously entitled and dumb you are for raging about this. " How are people complaining about an inconstant application of a rule being entitled? That isn't what entitled means AT ALL. In fact, quite the opposite. Recap. Things like this have happened in the past. GGG did nothing about it. There is no difference between Hardcore now and Hardcore pre 1.0 except they made a proclamation that the game is live. When you make a hardcore character it still says "This character cannot be restored for any reason at all" (paraphrase). Your job is to explain why after 1.0 it's somehow okay, or even in this singular instance, assuming they'll just tell you to pound sand in the future when this will happen again (if you don't think it will you're being naive). The reality is there is no plausible reason why it's okay now and it wasn't okay in the past. In fact I'd say it was more reasonable to give in the past since our support during closed and open beta is what allowed them to get to where they are now, not the other way around. All this being said, I don't really care they restored these characters. I think they should always restore when they fuck up, because they can easily determine who suffered from their mistakes, and a customer shouldn't be forced to suffer the loss of time and effort due to the companies screw up. |

When I say that they are spoiled brats and entitled childs, I mean it as they can only have things that go according to their opinion, which is exactly the case here.
Chris said it. They can and do it because it's a game-breaking bug and it's very easy to know who died to it and who didn't. The same cannot be said of pretty much every other bugs that happened. If for example, zoning in eternal laboratory would instantly kill you, this would be a very easily verifiable bug and restores would happen again. I'm willing to bet that if it happened in the open or even the closed beta, their reaction would have been the same. The only difference is that during closed beta, nearly nobody would have cried like it's currently the case. WOW GGG I suspect you should not have done this as it is going to cause you far more grief in the future. I see it already "but you restored for carrion queen bug".
That being said it was extremely considerate of you guys to restore people characters. Even tho it will cause you an endless line of grief. For people on this thread complaining. The game does not adapt to you, you adapt to it.
