Ok bro you can stop trolling now. It's boring.

Well i shouldnt expect everyone to be knowledgeable in the marketing department.
My bad i tried to teach you something.

Your sarcasm is wasted on me, so is your 'marketing' knowledge - oh humour me some more please.

You're in no position to assume that the reason why they call it 'expansion', is just to lure in more players, that's ridiculous.
They call it an 'expansion', because it makes sense. They call it an 'expansion', because there is a new Act, among other things. Even if they called it a 'patch' or 'content update', most people would still know a new Act was coming, but there'd be no logic in that.

So what are you trying to say here? That they shouldn't call it an 'expansion', because it offends you that potentially more people might get informed about a new Act coming and play the game? Or that you think they are using an insidious marketing strategy to dupe players into picking up the game, without the authorization of Mr. Marketing Know-it-all?

You should just leave now.
Personally, I like the charges the way they look right now. That's about the last thing that needs changing imo

Can we have the option to keep them 'as is' please?
BLAMT!
Can we get a chaos resist aura with + to its max?
One of my guesses for an aura gem was a reduced effect of aura and reduced reservation. I was proven wrong. I like the aura balance though. How I wish I had purity of lightening when i ripped a couple of hours ago on nemesis.

I would agree with this if it only worked to lowlife builds and reserved 65% of your life without being able to be modified.

Regarding the Purity balance changes, they seriously improve the game. When a skill is so clearly dominant then it needs to be improved so that there are more decisions related to its use. This change hopefully helps Righteous Fire players because they're able to get close to the Max Fire Resistance cap without also becoming immune to other elements at the same time.

I understand that rebalance within a ladder season has large consequences, but it's for the best of the game if we continue to improve its balance more frequently. It was far worse to leave Spork Totems so dominant for much of this year. I would rather we keep new builds flowing through balance improvements rather than letting the metagame stagnate.

I dont disagree with the notion that it improves the game, in this case it definitely does.
At the same time however you have to agree that it destroys many of the current builds.
The reason why you are changing it is stemming from the fact that many people are using it.
This implies that you are messing with the build of many players.
Making a character unplayable every other patch is not acceptable, even if it is for the better of the game, because the game will then have potentially lost that player.

You cant expect that everyone is going to cope with such drastic changes to their character without retaliating, and in this case the only retaliation possible is to ragequit the game.

I can obviously only speak for myself, but if my level 85 character in domination isnt playable in maps anymore after the patch because he takes too much elemental damage, i am definitely going to stop playing. I am not telling you this as a threat, i am telling you this as a fact.
If peoples´s characters stop functioning, they are inclined to stop playing.
This has already happened to me back in standard league on my level 87 character.
If your character suddenly stops functioning and needs a very big overhaul (which we wont get) to clear the same content he was capable of clearing earlier, then players just lose interest, thats a fact.

Until then, please try the new aura skills and let us know your feedback after you've played with them!

Please explain, how can I use them, being solo player? Should I have 3 pieces of equipment with different sockets or delegate 1 4L for 3 auras gems?

I can allow myself for this, as I'm not playing those retarded temp leagues, but for new players it will be very hard.

But you precious gruppers and shoppers will have no problems as usual. They will be even more stronger.

Sad but true.
Anticipation slowly dissipates...
The current charges are some of the most aesthetically pleasing things in the game, changing them is really random and just a waste of time.

The 3% max resists are significant because they meant a decrease in final elemental damage received from 25% (75% resist) down to 22% (78% resist) or 20% if the recipient has elemental adaptation (80% resist)

Going from 25% damage to 22% damage is a marginal 12% reduction in damage taken comapred to somebody with 75 resists, which is a lot.
For somebody with EA and purity, 25% to 20% damage taken is a marginal 20% reduction in damage taken.

The difference is insanely huge. Going from 75% to 80% is a 20% damage reduction.
The combination of elemental adaption and purity is the reason why the crazy bosses are actually tankable in this game (like the torture chamber boss).
Without that synergy between elemental adaption and purity, people will take a lot more elemental damage.

It is a huge deal.

Okay, I see your point... I still disagree with it being such a huge deal.

If you are fighting a single monster, or a certain group of monsters, the previously mentioned way of using the respective resistance aura still applies - thus the same amount of damage reduction is still achievable - it just gets slightly more difficult to adapt. You can't just run one aura anymore in solo play and rely on it.

What I could understand is, if certain existing builds have troubles meeting the INT, DEX, STR requirements of the new resistance gems... that would be a bugger indeed.
lol at purity nerf, wtf .... wtf .... wtf
