This is the most useless balance patch ever (descent races looks awesome)...
Purity was perfectly fine (and already nerfed to the ground) and charges looks great. IF IT'S NOT BROKEN DON'T CHANGE IT. |

" Yes, it is definitely an expansion. In expands the game by adding new acts and major features. Case closed. IGN: Iworkeout

" Drastic changes, retaliation, ragequit? Could you be any more dramatic please? Could you exaggerate some more? Nothing will become 'unplayable'. Tell me, how do you survive a day? Life is dynamic, everything changes. Adapt, or perish. |

Purity's nerf is actually deserved since everyone was using it.
2 options were left to GGG : - increasing its reservation cost, which would have been a nerf, restricting builds and not enablind any. - splitting it like they did, which rewards adaptative players and enables some builds. Maybe 40% is a bit too much, especially if the +%max resistsance is below 4% but this was definitely a needed change. In all honesty, stop whining about imbalanced things and learn to adapt. "By that logic, every content patch is an expansion, because they all expand on the game in some way. Thats obviously ridiculous, and isn't remotely accurate. Large content patches(which expand the game) are large content patches. Thats how its always been. " " "You're the one "whining". Everyone else is giving feedback based on their perception of potential changes. Last edited by Magnicon#6598 on Nov 10, 2013, 7:40:15 PM

Many people are complaining about the Purity change, but I completely support this change. It's extremely hard to balance content when players have wildly varying amount of base resist. Just consider in open beta: you could have +5% max resist from elemental adaptation, +5% with a Purity buffed with inner force. You'd be taking 15% elemental damage, compared to everybody else taking 75% without the same setup. That's 60% of the total damage. Balancing elemental damage with such huge disparities becomes immensely difficult. Anything that is hard for the 85% res character will basically one shot a 75% res character, and anything that's hard for a 75% res character is a joke for an 85% res character.
It's much more balanced now. Elemental adaptation is 2%, and purity is 2% max res, or 3% if you get increased effect on the buff. Taking 20% damage is only a 20% damage reduction compared to 25% damage. This makes it much easier to balance content in general, and allows players to make more meaningful (and not completely necessary) choices. If you want to protect yourself against elemental damage, then get purity and/or elemental adaptation. It sure helps, but you still need to care about elemental damage. @Moylin (Beyond)

Please Chris, nerf Purity of QQ, because it is becoming boring and way to OP in the forums!

" First, this statement is stupid, because there is much more gems/skills/items "everybody" is using. Second, it is not true, as a lot of ppls dropped Purity as there are more useful auras. I dropped Purity on most of my characters and of those I use it , I only need to cap reses to 75% so not matter, new auaras are not usable for me and I'm not going to use them. But what saddens me is, that of course precious group players with have all +max res, only solo players will suffering because of this change. Herding instinct in southern hemisphere is strong, it seems. Anticipation slowly dissipates...
