Pleased to know Merveil is getting a complete overhaul in the near future. As it stands, the second form is anticlimactic and the whole fight is very much a brute strength contest. Eager to see what GGG will do.

GGG never intended for Phase Run to be used in the way that it was which bordered on simple exploitation. I'm only surprised that they waited this long to rectify the situation. Of course things can always be changed and improved post OB if they need to be. I wouldn't worry too much about these changes.

i'm a little mixed about totally replacing phase run 0o?! I always liked its use of adding bonus damage to the next swing and the resulting possibilities. But if it adds to the better - great! (In which way was it exploitet btw?) |

Well, Phase Run needed a cooldown, not a cast time IMO. Quicksilver flasks would effectively be that without the melee damage bonus because people were mostly using Phase Run as a utility skill because it was pretty much butt-cheeks as a melee skill. It just means that Phase Run just has to be improved or removed at that point.

Every character I build makes extensive use of phase run for movement and for melee builds the damage bonus as well- it's probably the same for most people. Any changes to such a central ability- real or imagined- is bound to make people leery. Adding a movement utility flask is an interesting idea, though it will need to be awesome to warrant giving up a flask slot for it. Guess I'll have to reserve judgment until we have more info, as any comments at this point is just speculation.
