in short this will make path of exile even more path of traders

trading-centered game..

funny, d3 is moving away from it knowing full well how 'cool' it was to play economy instead of the game

only if you yourself make it into one , you do not need to buy the old uniques

entire fucking game will be balanced around the legacy stuff - so it DOES affect me

just like they being afraid (cowards trial anyone?) of nerfing Kaoms nefed entire life tree..

keep telling that bul.. about 'it will not affect you'. it will. because ggg will balance entire game around these bullshit items making it almost impossible to play without them

life builds without kaoms? possible - albeit requiring gear more expensive than kaoms itself...

the game will not be balanced around legacy uniques , how can you even assume that , maybe you just want to be mad for no reason , i recommend you to sit down with a book and calm down . listen to some marcy playground for your nerves

Only in Standard League

Anyone who knows anything about the way PoE is designed will be playing in one of the other leagues with a fresh economy and new items.

I can't believe you intend to create legacy items that were DEEMED TOO POWERFUL.

If you nerf Koams you should nerf every Koams.

This is completely ridiculous.

The answer that GGG will give to all of the complaints is "New Leagues..." Duh... Hardcore and Standard league exist so that GGG can keep their word about "No wipes". No one should really care what happens there. I've got a dozen characters throughout standard and hardcore and I've not logged on any of them since anarchy and onslaught started.

For the majority of players legacy items will not matter at all. They will start the new leagues and play exclusively in those leagues. If you've fallen in love with your standard character then sure you may continue to play standard but it's now far from being a competitive league. Anyone who actually cares about balance and such will play the new leagues. Legacy items are a non-issue.

I dislike the onyx amulet changes, onyx amulet hasn't even been much of big issue.
and I guess it really sure do make my motivation even more less motivated to play this game...

You are aware that all the life nodes in the passive tree were reduced in effectiveness in large part due to the existence of Koams right?

Why were the life nodes in the passive tree nerfed instead of Koams being nerfed? The life nodes in the passive tree weren't the problem, Koams was the problem. And altering the life nodes over the item affected everyone, in fact, penalized everyone that didn't have a Koams more than those that did. For those that were using Koams, the life node changes were barely a slap on the wrist, they were still overpowered. For everyone else, ya... we were screwed... to the point where CI became that much more popular.

So, if you believe the game isn't balanced around overpowered uniques; and rares that have both +energy shield and %energy shield affixes, well... I don't know what to say other than there is a big power gap between those that have these items and those that don't. To me, it's absurd the passive tree is balanced around the overpowered high-end items, especially when this balance isn't balance at all. If you have the overpowered high-end items, you are still overpowered; if you don't have the overpowered high-end items, the game is frustrating until you acquire them.
You can't get a Demigod without winning a race. You can't get a League Unique without playing in that league. Makes perfect sense. You can still buy either one from another player.

Make up your mind... first you say the tree was balanced around Kaoms, then you say that people with Kaoms didn't even notice...

As long as the life nodes are percentage boosts, your assertion makes no sense at all since Kaoms will always be a huge relative increase.

I don't think you thought your cunning argument all the way through...

Generally speaking, numeric nerfs to items don't apply to old ones.

Since something like Shavronne's doesn't have a numeric value to its unique effect, how will this get changed? I guess the ES value?

On another note, if you're going to nerf Kaom's Heart, then you might as well nerf all those 900-1000ES chests floating around since CI/ES builds are already more powerful than any Kaom's Heart builds.
