i'm thinking an abyssus+this+high crit chance dagger +passives. good for boss runs but when you see reflect you have to change it or elsee GG oneshot^^
I actually like the amulet.

I think it was designed to work with Critical Weakness.
The 10% chance to crit from the curse shouldn't be reduced by the 60% less crit.
And the more crit dmg multiplier works very well with the high increased crit multiplier on the amulet.

double curse: lvl21crit curse/elem weakness
+increase critical damage gem
+increase critical damage nodes
+ incinerate (since incinerate wont have any of the negatives)


should be sick dps


reflect can be mitigrated by arctic since it is incenerate after all...

edit: going with quick math on a lol build here so correct me:
5l searing with: incinerate-increased critical damage-faster cast-proliferation-increased burning damage
crit multiplier:
~+200multiplier for staves from nodes on witch/shadow/templar
~+110multiplier from increased
~+150 from amulet

1242 final crit multiplier

base damage for lvl 22 incinerate: 57
57*4 (4th stage)=228

let's put a total +200% spell/fire/elemental/etc damage: 684

684*12.42= 8495

8495*20% *(1+1,9 burning damage + let's say another 0,7 fire damage)=
6440 proliferating fire dot... not shabby at all :D

Ocylix, though I agree that your amulet's current incarnation is too punishing in its drawbacks, I have to say it's the best design I've seen for some time. Congratulations!

When I first saw the amulet I was like WOW! ..Then I read the numbers ):
Doesn't GGG balance around HC? Wouldn't 300% murder those HC players anyways and make this item balanced? Hopefully you can do something about that 60% less crit chance and make that one downside less punishing.

Give the Amulet Resolute Technique without the Crit Drawback instead of Accuracy.

Either of those would make the amulet much better. Then again, the amulet is technically a 135% damage multiplier overall (not the stat!) given how often it lets you crit vs the reduced damage. Then again, the math was with a character that has a 95% chance to crit beforehand.

Math

Assume 100 damage hits (auto convert to % later)
(4 hits of 10 @ 300%) + (6 hits of 10 @ 25%)
(4 x 300)+(6 x 25) = 1350
1350 / 10 hits = average 135 per hit, or 135%


Add in 200% crit mult between passives and gear and the amulet becomes a 215% multiplier overall.

I DON'T KNOW HOW TO FEEL ABOUT THIS.

Probably won't get used simply due to reflect. Then again, if the Less modifier applies BEFORE the 95% cap, this amulet might be able to get terrifying.
Oro's Sacrifice is the new dyadus. You can get it for 40 ex now, and will sell it hardly for 3 ex in 2 weeks. Just the necessary time for people to understand that's crap unique.

incenerate has 0% crit chance

but incinerate can crit through critical weakness curse, at least this was the case in CB, haven't heard they changed that
