Well its a trade off, with your personal build you can pick it up but for me the extra zombie doesn't really do that much for me. I rather spend those 5 points else where like more hp.

Once the 1.0.2 update hits I'll have to re-look at everything now that BM's can scale with minion damage now.

A question about hotlinking,swapping etc.

Can you summon zombies in an offhand 6L weapon, go back to town and put the gem into a 1H weapon + shield combo? what are the slot lineups for that i.e. where should the zombie gem go in each weapon?

Reason im asking is i was looking at the 2H poleaxe that has increased AOE support, thinking around a 7L raise zombie (or raise spectre now for BM's).

Am actually not 100% sure. My assumption that the link of a 1h and the links on a 2h is different. The slots take up "different" places in however way they coded it. I actually never tried that before, I don't have a spare 6-L weapon to try it with but I feel like it won't work. If someone could try it and report back that would be great.

I just talked with Mark, briefly, and he said "Any increases to damage that the minions have, will increase their DoT (if applicable). So increased minion damage will cause their RF to burn enemies harder."


This is good news, cleared any doubts that I had. I want to improve BM's dmg via nodes but I don't want to sacrifice survivability either its a tough choice =/.

Huh... I just had another thought.

Lets say you had 2 BM's that is supported with

RS + concentrated effect

and

RS + increased AOE

would they actually stack now o.o?
Would the highest damage degen override the other degen much like ignite burning does?
Will the outer perimeter deal less damage from the 2nd bm but the 1st bm's aura will take over when they reach it's range?
Will different amounts of damage for the BM stack?

Am wondering about this b/c of a little known bug about BM's back in beta. If you were to raise BM's with different amounts of health the orbs would actually stack (visually you would see 3 orbs on a mob).

I achieved this with
sidhe breath + chober = summon

sidhe breath = summon

chober = summon

3 BM's with different amounts of health and their orbs stacked.

most other things like flasks, burning damage etc the highest DoT/sec takes priority, so you could have a super burn area and a normal burn area.

Also was thinking evangelists would go really well with increased AoE, its a negative on a single one but I would assume each one grants immunity from anything outside its own bubble.

If you have multiple bubbles intersecting you can make a really large area pretty much invulnerable to even if say piety wanders inside one of the bubbles, that evangelist might still be immune to ranged attacks if hes protected by a different evangelists bubble.
Yep stacking bubbles is completely viable and awesome. I pretty sure the overlapping sections is double/triple protection. They would have to step into the very inner circle to hit you.

yay IIQ/IIR gems will now work with dots so my previous delemma about using BM's is solved XD

Haha I think he meant about the coming patch. :p btw I already rerolled and now lvl 55 on nemesis. I do hope that there will only be a few/minimal skill tree changes after the patch cause I'm running out of refunds lol. Besides that, everything is a breeze at the moment. Oh I see =). Am prob not going to change the passive tree much if at all. Although minion damage are attractive nodes now am not going to drop any defensive nodes for them its really not worth it to me. Bm's feel like they are going to be buffed with better support gem options and the build already killed things super fast. Only thing left is to wait and see what happens.

I'm scared Mattc :( The build is already pretty good, and I don't want to see the base damage of BM's get nerfed.

On the other hand, the idea to put a BM's cleaner and a super BM's for rare/bosses (with concentrated effect) is really good, and I'm sure it will work perfectly.

Can't wait the patch notes, and of course, to test it in game.
