{3.2.0} Spectral Gods: [Life Based Spectre/Golem Hybrid Summoner | Clear Speed | End Game Bossing]
Leer Cast got interesting again.
Probably not worth a gear slot, but its a pretty significant damage boost now. 15% Increased damage aura. Gets boosted by 78% from aura passives, making it 26.7%. 26.7% gets further boosted by remote, trap, conc by 152% for a grand total of 67.284% Increased damage. Edit: Had the numbers backwards, but to get slightly off track, do Leer casts still stack in parties? Be pretty hilarious for 6 summoners running around with one. That would be an extra 403.74% damage. Last edited by Moose65#0910 on Nov 27, 2013, 1:58:52 AM

Hmm... What's better for farming Piety? BMs or Evangelists?

On paper BMs will become too OP after the patch. Shame that midnight bargain has such a big drawback. Plus what good will damage on BMs do if they will die easy, so chober still seems superior to me...
Now I want a 6L bluesocketed chober to summon spectres with and then changing to my trusty ES-sword. The only problem would be being forced into 1-2 spectre types though. IGNs

" 6L BBBBBB is almost impossible on Chober (I'll even go as far to say that one doesn't exist). Besides, why not just use a chest piece to do it? Put the spectre in a 6L chest to summon and weapon swap to do your chober/dual midnights. BMs will get all the benefits while you enjoy none of the drawbacks. Chober is probably still the better choice probably, but keep in mind at most their getting 36% increased HP with a perfect chober, whereas dual midnights can boost their damage by 151.2% increased damage with the right setup. Not saying one or the other is superior, just something to keep in mind. Edit: With the recent degen buff, I foresee snapshotting being moved up on the priority list for fixing in the future for minions. Last edited by Moose65#0910 on Nov 27, 2013, 3:13:53 AM

" evangelists out of those two. BM loses its fire aura when you port into her room, and she will make quick work of BM's. on the other hand a BM will help get to piety a lot faster, and you can replace it easily on the next run. tenticles + chain are pretty fun on the trip down as well, but piety wipes them out super fast. |

" I was thinking of getting zombies on the chest and using leer cast (after it being calculated it sounds very appealing)...but that is all just ideas that will never come to fruition probably. Since I already am using tabula rasa thing. IGNs GroovyBeard JooJooFromTheWell Last edited by Allnamestaken#7661 on Nov 27, 2013, 3:20:17 AM

" Zombies won't benefit as much from Leer cast as BMs will soon. I did the math awhile back, and it takes MASSIVE amounts of increased damage to surpass faster attack and multistrike as supports. With the BM buff though, zombies are becoming more of a meatshield than DPS machines anyways. I was already having problems getting my grasp zombies to last hit for explosions, and the patch will simply put them further behind BM dps. |

Ever considered going Prism guardian shield for the extra mana reserve reduction?(sorry if the question has been answered previously)

" Exactly, that is why losing +2 lvls from minion helm is bad when switching to leer cast, unless you're talking about pure tank zombies without multistrike+splash combo (which I love now that I have stated using it). So a 5L/6L zombie would allow for empower + the regular zombie damaging supports. And having spectres on swap 6L chober would finally rid me of annoyance of tabula rasa, although would mean no projectile using spectres. Of course its practically impossible to do, so probably won't happen. On the prism guardian - thought about it, even tried to buy, but ultimately decided against it - 4-5 auras is enough for me, and I have still 500-1k mana left over after auras for mana shield, so its all good. Probably won't be taking Inner Force cluster and instead take the easy to reach 45% minion damage nodes, since those 3% buff effect are pretty crap and 15% is not worth using up 3 points. I have been playing with an idea of PERMAFREEZE summoner. I have read that freeze mine can permafreeze even map Dominus, but I don't know how much one does need to invest into the trap damage nodes to be able to do so. But if investing to trap/mine nodes benefits also spectres damage through remote mine/trap gems, then it might be win-win!
First curse the mobs with frostbite + ele weakness to lower their cold resistance, then keep on spamming the freeze mine (linked with ele prolif, cold penetration and increased AoE) until the minions have killed everything. :D Frostbite's added quality would also be very good, since it prolonges the freeze duration by 1% (per 1% q). Besides making the minion survivability easier through hard bosses, a permafreezer would have MASSIVE party potential. Here's a related video to permafreeze using the freeze mine: http://www.twitch.tv/etup/c/3271892 Has anyone tried this? |
