Hey there,

loving this build, however it seems i cant use Shield charge for some reason.
It is equiped and i do have enough strenght for it, but the skill is greyed out.

Any ideas what could cause this?

Regards,
Renzio

Shield Charge requires a Shield and an Attack based weapon (dagger, sword, mace) equipped to function

So basically this build can be done with 1ex budget ? I started this league pretty late so i'm still struggling with my currency. I just want to be sure that i can change into this build with all the currency i've got now. Also i see everyone build this build as a boss killer, not a farming machine. I'm wonder how would a set of mf gears looks like xD
Also can you explain the section in the guide about afford a 5-6L vis again ? I don't understand what do u mean there.
Thanks in advance

I'm farming shaper and guardians with vis mortis 5 link (no controlled destruction) and other piece are extremely cheap.

Vis 5l (40c?), scourge (60c), other piece with some life and resistances, some new jewels with minion cast speed and increase damage when use minion skill.

i think with 3ex you can buy all the gear/jewels.

should i switch my tabula with 5l vis?

In general yes, 5L Vis performs better than 6L Tabula. However that depends on whatever else you're planning. Tabula is enough to get you to red maps providing you have enough gem levels, jewels and proper build, which allows you to 'gamble' fuse your Vis Mortis. An extra spectre helps with clear, but if you're on early to mid game, it's often unnecessary if you're limited on currency. I started with Tabula on the first day of the league, and switched to 6L right away 4 days in.

how many fusings did you spend to get a 6l? 4 days is really fast to get a 6l
i have like 450 right now
Great build, im 70 right now and doing some experiments with different spectres.
I dropped this

and i have a 5l vis mortis so atm i have 2 TV in the 6l helm and 2 solar guards in a 5l. pretty good until now, just doing some random low tier maps, fast and fun.

I have a question regarding the jewels i supposed to use. Im taking all the jewels socket (abyss jewels are so good), so what kind of stats im looking for? cast speed, life, atck and cast when minions kills?
Should we skip elemental damage or not?

Thanks

I didn't spend any fusings, I bought the Vis straight up 6L for 12ex. This is what I mean about me avoiding the use of 5L Vis, because it's a waste of currencies (this is just me btw), I've never used a 5L on a Summoner, because Tabula has almost always been enough to farm currencies with. Granted you can do the same by farming with 5L Vis.

Classic Summoner (matt's build) is arguably one of the fastest map runner in the game right now, and I have played some insanely expensive non-summoner builds before. I think the only one that's faster was my min-maxed phys cyclone w/ attack speed stacking + Harb belt and my VPS char with HH.

Keep farming, do it right, and you'll get your 6L Vis in no time. :)
So as a leaguestarter and ive never played summoner before. Is there a noticeable difference between this and the burning spectres guide in terms of easy to level/execute?
I'm not sure how other people feel about it, but im having a lot of fun with the new curse armour. Thanks to the new shaper/elder items, spectres dont have to be in a 5-6L chest so it frees up a lot of options.

I havent settled on curses/auras yet, the main idea is temp chains/enfeeble on blasphemy for protection then totem for offensive curses. You use it like an instant cast speed ball lightning, but 6 curses instead of 2.

Strictly speaking, you could still reach 75% cap with temp chains in the armour, with enhance and a helmet enchant to offset the armour penalty.

Also, permanent phasing from the new unique jewel (when paired with haste), just running through doors passed mobs to conv everything into the room is such a QoL thing.

Probably not, Natt's tree if I remember correctly goes through the left side of the skill tree which emphasizes on tankyness due to how strong Tukohama Vanguards were pre nerf. I actually used some variation of his tree back in Harbinger league and it was quite a success. This league however, this becomes a slight problem because his build revolves around Vanguards and after the nerf most of the discussion in his thread revolves around how to make the build 'work' again in 3.1. The Burning Spectres build still works, but it was optimized around something that was heavily nerfed this league.

This (matt's) build however, is much more flexible and built around different spectres, and I believe is also one of the oldest spectre build that's still well maintained to this day. Which is one of the reason why I keep lurking around to see what's up in the Summoner's world here.

Either way, both works just fine, it's up to you which to take reference of.

Thanks for a good answer! :) I'll try this one out then. Never played a summoner before
I'm currently wrecking everything I go into. I am considering making some changes just for the sake of mixing it up lol. currently I run Ahn's + 2 jewels since the 3 res cap and onslaught is super awesome. Is the necromantic aegis version superior? would love to utilize 2 more jewel slots but not sure if its worth the 5-6 point tree investment and loss of max res.

Thanks for the guide!
For vis mortis 5L, should I use RS + Minion Damage + Spell echo + GMP + Faster proj?
