{3.2.0} Spectral Gods: [Life Based Spectre/Golem Hybrid Summoner | Clear Speed | End Game Bossing]

For those of us who don't know much about individual spectre's characteristics (and who followed the leveling passive tree so far), which one should I be running for white and yellow maps right now, if I'm not concerned with INSANE clear speed, just want pretty good DPS and not horrible clear speed. Are solar guards effective at clearing packs by themselves? Do I want like 2 solar guards/2 flame sentinels?

solar guards or frost sentinels are both great for mapping. frost sentinels are just nutty on open map tiles. for all around solar guards are probably better since their boss damage is better.

On the first two days of the league I exclusively used Frost Sentinels (I'd recommend following the gem links provided by matt on the OP) without Ele. Focus. They'll help you farm early maps and Abysses without the risks of getting burst down by those mobs with big claws, and Hypothermia is enough to handle white and low tier yellow maps bosses. And bring/prepare the gems for Solar Guards swap later on. This allows you to start farm those currencies for better gear.

Don't rush on getting to higher tier maps as fast as possible, unless you know exactly what you're doing (like going after certain shaped map and you have planned to sextant block it). Keep using Frost Sentinels as you climb up gradually in 'difficulty' of maps. There will come a point where you'll notice a few things. Those insane coverage provided by Frost Sentinels can be annoying at times, esp. when they don't kill stuff fast enough anymore. This is when you might want to consider switching to Solar Guards.

Solar Guards clear maps faster than any other spectres including Frost Sentinels very later on in the game, esp. on modded high tier red maps. This is due to their beam which will (providing good enough gear and gem levels) "one shot" everything that comes up and burst down the remainder with their mini fireballs. In addition, they deal enough DPS to tackle all the end game bosses without any significant issue.

Start using spectre at lv 28 is harder than i though. They don't have enough DPS to protect themselves. I never played a summoner build so it's kinda hard for me. Any tip on lvling a summoner or is there a certain lv that is suitable for start using spectre ?
^ You need a tabula rasa for easy 6L, the boots for one extra spectre, taking all the minion damage nodes and especially minion regen nodes on tree, and at least lv31 so that you can use all the good gems. In this league, you can also buy the unique vise and socket 2 good ghastly jewels too.

Then you can just destroy everything on your way with spectres. You can ask around global 820 to get a good sample corpse of solar guards as start (then you need to re-raise solar guards every few levels), add one or two tukohama vanguards for easier boss fight too. If you do not have access to the good ones, you can temporarily use flame sentinel (or you can use them til end game).

How did you manage to take down guardians with solar guards with ease? My 6L SG lv84 seem to do other bosses with okayish speed but for guardians, I often die before they can do serious damage enough.

so my dmg is fine, my only issue atm is hp, i tend to get chunked hard and take big hits easily. anyone way to improve my gear to help in being a little bit more tanky but still keeping some dmg?
is there a big difference in dps with a 5l and 6l vis mortis?

I'm thinking of starting to buy either but if i buy a 6l i wont have any money left at all :(

Looking from your char I'd say there's a significant difference in dps between your Solar Guards and mine. Mine kill all bosses (that doesn't have multiple phases) almost instantly right after the SGs starts shooting at it, even at T15. Which is why I don't even use Scourge anymore for normal runs.

Here's a clip (finally managed to record something that didn't instantly crash on me), I just woke up when I recorded this so I didn't bother to do the fight properly and ended up on me taking too many hits at the end. :(

Using another aura while you have Haste Essence Worm'ed kind of defeats the purpose of using Essence Worm in the first place, which is to free up your mana for MoM to work properly. Also might wanna take a look on getting life rolls on the Abyss jewels.

you have a l19 desecrate so probably your solar guards are only lv81.

Did a red shaper in 10 seconds on a 5l with lv80 SG, just bought a 6l and now ill try guardians and shaper. Super fast build however.
