{3.2.0} Spectral Gods: [Life Based Spectre/Golem Hybrid Summoner | Clear Speed | End Game Bossing]

Just brought back from the dead my old summoner thanks to this build, looking good.
However I got a question, just got lvl 63 and got myself The Vertex and Vis Mortis, setup is all right but which skill should I drop since my Vis Mortis is just a 5 link? Don't want to spend a lot on this right now since I'm kinda poor xD
I'm in act3 merc using Tabula with Spectre,GMP/SP,Echo,Minion Damage,Elemental Focus/ConcEffect,Flame Golem.
Drop the conc/iAOE

Pretty cool thread.

I'm running a straight golemancer with 5 flame golems in a 5 link. Would it be viable to lose controlled destruction for a RS gem and get 2 spectres to go with the 5 golems? Or would that be too much of a damage loss? Would be kind of fun to have the extra 2 spectres running around with me.

Great Spec. This is the first ES-Char im playing. Loving it so far, thx.

I'm playing Breach-HC. With a High ES Armour and Shield. I'M getting to the higher Maps now and noticed for the first time that my Minions are dying in Breaches. So i put a point into Necromantic Aegis which i didn't pick till now. I was a bit surprised when i saw the ES from that shield go away from my char. I was under the impression it somehow stays there.. lost like 2-2.5k ES.

Under your "Gear" Section you wrote that for more survivability we should pick up a High-ES Shield.. do we leave out the Necromantic Aegis talent in this case ? And how do we manage to keep our minions alive in Breaches without it ?

Thx in advance.
All guardians were done last night using Flame Sentinels & 3 flame golems (MD-SE-SP-Conc). Easy fights once you know the mechanics DPS was not an issue, just be prepared to port out to let your minions regain health if they get caught in some of the AoE. As with all fights, positioning is key and can take some practice but if you have average-good mechanical skills this build should do them with ease.

I had 2 Shaper sets so decided to give it a crack with the Fire-Eater spectres. In the interest of transparency, I am familiar with the Shaper fight from previous builds but have never tried it as a Summoner and would not consider myself an expert.

On the first attempt, I had real issues keeping my spectres alive, and getting my positioning correct. Saving convocation for the right moments rather than knee jerking it unnecessarily is vital and something I just couldn't nail. After burning through 4 portals I had only got him to the second stage and lost 2 of my 4 spectres. Rather than brick the set, I got a service to finish him.

More confident now that I knew what I was doing wrong I decided to charge in on the second set and see how I went. This time I used flame sentinels as I wanted minions that had range and I didn't feel DPS was the issue in the last attempt. It was hairy, to say the least, and I finished it with 1 port to spare using sentinels i had to summon from the Eternal Lab but Shaper down!
No matter the cost bitches, no matter the cost.
Hi, so many pages, so sry if this question was before.. Is this build has good survivability? I mean is it facetank sometimes?:)

If your a necromancer it might be worth it if you got the soul weaver node. Its hard to calculate the damage gain or loss in this scenario lol. Maybe with 3 spectre it will be a damage gain but remember spectre is an additional pain to summon on a non-spectre focused build.

Are you going hybrid armour and shield? Its a much better idea to go completely energy shield. Yes necromantic aegis transfers all the shield stats onto the minions. If you want survivability use a es shield without necroaegis. For more damage either charity or swapping to a dual weapon setup. like severed in sleep/clayshaper for example.

What level are your minions? They should be near immortal at a certain point until your at t16+. You should be doing so much area clear with spectre + golems that breaches shouldn't be much of a problem.

Your character is not public so its hard to give you any solid advice. If I can take a look at your gear it will help =).

I really wish convocation had a lower cooldown it would reward skillful play so much more. Right now its near impossible to dodge everything with your minions. Thanks for the post on your shaper attempts. I think going the chaos/physical version(slashed miscreation) will be a lot smoother with the sleep sword b/c you know. Poison.

You can facetank with vaal discipline for a good 5-7s all bosses below t16 will be dead by then. This is not a build where you have access to vaal pact and high leech so if you looking for something that sits in front of shaper beams this isn't it =).

Hi matt,

Thank you for this great guide. I have a question about calculation of golem stats. Which summon flame golem is better, lv20q23 or lv21q20?
Based on my study, I think level only affect increased% life and %damage of golem but not base life/damage. My question is how to calculate their life/damage?

Say I'm currently on level 93, have 190% increased minion life and 30% increased golem life, then what's the life for my flame golem? Should it be
17366*(100+190+30)/100
?
The magic number 17366 is from wiki, where states that lv 90 golem have 17366 life and 1644-4110 damage.

Thank you and happy new year.

With Armour i just meant my Chest-Piece sorry for the confusion :D
Profile is Public now. I Know my Belt is still shit and some links/gems aren't good yet. Also i have to replace a Gem soon. I feel like i really need that Anima Stone too. When i get my ES-Belt i should be @ 13k ES or something.. not sure if i will try Immortalis. But i guess @ the End-Tier Stuff/Bosses i probably need Immortalis for the Extra DPS.

thx again.

But with this build killing shaper/t16 bosses is easy right?)
