{3.2.0} Spectral Gods: [Life Based Spectre/Golem Hybrid Summoner | Clear Speed | End Game Bossing]
" Its not against summoners, its to allow squishie characters to actually do maps. New lvl 66 map boss (unique devourer) has oneshotted me with near 2k life 7k armor and max fire res (although I do not remember the map mods, they might have helped). Well, but that sounds more like a boss balance problem, than a general creature template thing. Especially as a lot of other monsters are far harder hitting.
Btw. I' not shure if devourers deal fire dmg at all. They do not set things on fire with flammability. And 2k Life isn't much, 7k armor neither. Dominus alone deals more then 5k dmg with his glyph blast at 79% resists and ~10k armor. |

" Apples to Oranges. Dominus is telegraphed and completely dodgeable. Worms are not at all. The boss in that map is ridiculous and will 1 shot you with no warning at all simply by popping up on top of you, getting a free melee swing and shooting a non-elemental fireball. They needed a nerf, and it was nothing to do against summoners since they had terrible AI as minions anyways. |

This is a really cool build. It looks fun as hell in late game.
However, is it just me or is it very slow to level? I am using Freeze Pulse at the moment, which (obviously) does very little damage, because there isn't much to scale it. I took the two spell damage nodes at the beginning of the tree. I am now in act 2 normal and my damage is really lackluster. Is there a more viable and faster choice of skill until I reach minion instability? (I'm level 17 now). |

" All summmoner focused builds is slow at leveling. Its just the fact of life lol. Just do what you feel is more comfortable/faster. As for me I used a good 2h with spectral throw, it doesn't really need any dmg nodes to carry you. " No this is pro-summoner. I would often lose like 1 zombie during that fight. Ridiculous for a 66 map. I care about my zombies =(. This mob type is also responsible for killing my other characters that were more dps focused =/. Their mechanic is just op. Blue pack pops out of the ground and one shots you, really hard to avoid. Necronomicon: https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/1617098

Has anyone tried corpse eating mobs as spectres? Just did a map with multiple projectiles and chain mods (yeah, I don't like living, lol) and they were soo scary there. Although it might have just been the visuals, since most of my army's deaths were from lightning arrow skeletons (figures that they spawn when one gets such mods on a map).

Yeah, thats what I said earlier, the good thing is they were crap anyways. ;)
But for the zombies its indeed better that way. But strangely had never a prob with these chums. They never attacked me fast enough I couldn't dodge em. But I think I didn't have extra xxx-speed in one of their maps (and no 70+ ones) so far, so maybe thats the point. Dominus on the other hand... completely dodgeable? He very often does the teleporting and glyph-thing (does it with the sparky-crawlers too, but these are no onehit atleast) so fast together I thought its one attack for quite some time. However with that he tears away my 4,5k ES at max resist and almost all of my 800 life, with the tiniest bit of other dmg taken b4 its lights out. But seems all to be more of desync Problem, and just by chance its Dominus for me and not the devourers. And you mean the Avian Retch things? Their attack is cool but they aren't that powerful, especially as they can just shoot 3 times or so till they need to consume another corpse and fire again. If they could consume the summoned skelletons they COULD be nice, but that way they are useless when u Need em most -> AOE in the beginning for clustered enemy groups. starting to think spectral throw leach is not necessary lol, its just a fun skill. Between your regen and life flasks u just don't need it.
Am going to do more cast of damage taken than totem + skele vitality totem + molten shell Necronomicon: https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/1617098

personally I dont like using rejuv totem on codt.
its useful to heal you, but not the pets as it always will put it next to you. I like to control position of the totem, and even if you have 2 gems, you cant have 2 totems so the codt one will get recast in annoying way. plus you can have increased aoe linked to the totem in other slots same thing with skeletons. in endgame, feels like positioning is far more important. the only way I was able to solo poorjoys map is to position skellies manually to tank shit in front. |

re devourers
was running dry woods with pack size and dmg yesterday, easy map. but these fuckers spawn, Im scared crapless.started using skellies as mine sweepers :) I think they have some weird mechanics. Ive had big magic pack with crit spawn right under me and I didnt take any damage. had more packs spawn and still no damage taken. none of my relevant pets died either. seems they have some funky range and their big attack isnt consistent |
