Yes i am playing a ci version of this build.

For gems and culling i use:

Zombies: Rz+iir+iiq+multi+splash+cull in a 6-link tabula rasa.
Spectres: Rs+iir+iiq+iaoe+cull in a 5-link tabula rasa.

I think going es is better than life for mf purposes. You can easily get 5-6k regenerating es with mostly mf only items. If you would be life based you would have a really low life pool.

Im planning on respeccing my witch to a CI MF summoner (played summoner already but not CI/ES). Could you post your tree and and the rest of your gear, so i can see for how much es i need to aim? Im especially interested in the gear since i already know that ~200% es from the tree is usual. Thx in advance!

Sure. Just hold down the curse button on the target to keep divination flask up if you have it. Remember to aim on the right target the minions attack whatever you are cursing.

A normal es chest like this.

I had 5000 something es with the wheel mf shield. Decided i wanted a little more for safety i was close to lvl 87. With an es shield like this my es went up to 6000 something. But 5000+ is quite alright with decent resistances. Need to take more res passives with double andvarius. Btw i found this es shield during fellshrine runs in act 2. You can get really nice items when leveling in such a low level area.

And just the normal mf gloves everyone is using.

Thank you! So basically i just need a pretty high ES chest to start out with. Shouldnt be hard to get on standard. Ill just respec my witch and play around a bit i guess :)

It could be that you gain is so little it does not show up on the tooltip. AA definitely does work on AA and auras and a bunch of other self buffs unless the devs has been lying to us =P.

Just wanna say thanks to Matt and everyone who answered my questions. Finally got to play this build last night and well, I'm impressed! Great clear speed even with only a 5l zombie and a 4l spectre on a +2 helm. I downed dominus w/o breaking a sweat :)

I switched to atziri's step for the 16% spell dodge. life, and ms. I don't miss bone of ullr all that much. You still get 4 giant zombies, which is where your dps come from mainly.

And what if you are in Invasion and dont have access to Atziri Gear? :)

What gems would be good for the fire breathing dogs like the ones you find on demon maps and in docks?

They use the spells of flame totem, except that they already have far shot so you don't need to link faster projectile, an example would be:

5l:Raise spectre-GMP-Fire penetration-faster casting-remote mine
6l:raise spectre-GMP-Fire penetration-faster casting-added chaos-remote mine

They scale extremely well with a haste aura. They deal amazing damage but are kinda fragile. So a set up of 2 of these + 1 defensive evangelist works well.

I like them more than flame sentinel, it's a shame that you can only get lvl 62 without going into maps to snapshot

EDIT: oh and btw, they work very well with a 20q added lightning damage
