My zombies are getting raped in Act 2 Merc And I can't afford all the snap shotting gear (Cost way to much for me in ambush) Sooo Am I screwed? heres my gear...

Your zombie gem is level 13. =P

At that point in ambush i was using tabula rasa to link my zombies and I kept summoning them as they died. You can't expect to snapshot efficiently if your zombie gem is low.

not the guy youre responding to, im in a2 merc with a lvl13 zombie gem and theyre not even getting close to dying. I snapshot them 6L with minion life though, I dont think progressing through merc is viable without snapshotting.

for my actual question (why i came here):

how do you set up your toolbar? im starved for slots

i got:

lmb - move only

rmb - enfeeble

q - desecrate

w - flesh offering (bone offering if needed goes here)

e - rejuv totem (maybe i could drop this)

r - smoke mine

t - arctic armor

a - lightning warp


t and a are very unconvenient to use (t is what is normally middle mouse butting in my setup, but I cant get used to using MMB) imo, and i am lacking a slot for an iir cull (btw, what would you use? arc?)

any idea on how i can set it up so i get arc in there, and on which key (t is too far off for something I intend to use so often, but I use qwer almost every pack). Maybe a QWER AS setup? Or put curse on lmb (awkward as hell)

rmb - leap slam

q - flesh

w - smoke mine

e - vaal cyclone or vaal skele

r - rejuv totem

t - cast AA, then remove

a - empty

I use my mouse pointer or my curse to direct my minions.

I would call this quite a lot, and borderline unbalanced if you have a lot of spare mana. But I suppose not a lot of build has that so its still balanced.

How does MoM work by the way? is that coming after or before resistances, armor etc.?

Most, if not all of the chaos damage in the game is damage over time; MoM does not mitigate any damage received from damage over time sources (including burning degen/ignite damage).

Hey Matt, I'm fairly new to this game and I'm not too poor but I haven't got the currency to buy tabulas or CoD or whatever atm. I'm lvl 51 and I've been leveling as facebreaker but i'm still conflicted with what guide to follow. Yours or RAthiks CI MF build. Yours looks better for clearing quicker i think, but yours is also more expensive. I was looking for a farming char so i can make some currency for my other characters. I need help deciding :(

obviously im not matt, but if you cant afford tabula (which is perfectly normal if youre 50 with your first char and didnt get an ex drop) youre basically poor.

Id highly advise against rathiks build, since much of the things he says are plain untrue. His "Life vs. CI" section is hilarious, actually. He says you need to worry about more things going life, making CI be able to stack more MF. Truth is, if you equip an aurumvorax (1c) on a life build, you can stack much higher mf with pretty shit gear than you could ever think of with a CI build.



Now go check out poexyz for items with those tiers of mf with an es roll. thats multiple ex, if it even exists yet in the new leagues.

What hes trying to sell as an advantage for ES based, is basically its disadvantage: Its very hard to find gear (and its way more expensive), ESPECIALLY with mf on it. The real advantage of going CI is lost on a summoner: passive point efficiency (need way less %ES compared to %Life to reach reasonable tankyness, since the base is higher)

CI builds also struggle with auras. High/max lvl AA and MoM/CoD are out of the question entirely.

I think if you can *somehow* scratch together the 2ex for a tabula, youre much much better of using this spec. Snapshotting is so powerful, not to do it is just idiotic. CI and summoner also do not at all synergyse well, MF + ES is probably the most expensive way to try to go for a farming char too. Worse come to worse, buy a white 5L and snapshot your zombies out of that. It will still be far superior to

Havent recast my lvl13 zombies for 8h now, the gem is lvl 15 by now - i dont give a fuck. Looks to me like RZ is very much a one time cast. But hey, who am I to disagree with the almighty and infamous rathik? Maybe I should go Minion Instability too LOL

Oh and last but not least: Rathik is a self-righteous retard, who thinks he invented the summoner archetype, even though he joined like 13 months ago (sad he deleted that rage-introduction to his guide where he blamed every streaming summoner, using racist/derogatory descriptions instead of names, of copying his spec. Shit was so cash) Im curious what he will invent next, maybe a marauder using ground slam? or a BOW RANGER? only time can tell with rathik :)

You are thinking of tehosiris a/k/a sampudrinker with regards to the above, not rathik. The racist intro to sam's guide was removed by GGG support, resulting in him deleting his guide and robbing us of the wisdom of the One True Summoner (ha).

As to your main point, I agree that Matt's build is a far better choice for a budget MF summoner and that the current meta strongly favors EB/AA (+ possibly MoM) aura-buffed life-based summoners over CI summoners.

Dunno about rathik will check his thread to see ut i share your opinion about life vs ci for a summoner.
I play low life and was using the cloak from the previous league coupled with Darkscorn (pretty powerfull combo: 25% more phys reduced)

Only heard about 2 builds: this one and the Matriarch. But i settled in this thread even if my passive tree differ a bit.
I had this league to resummon my zombie until late acte 2 merc and until lv68 69.. the time i get all the gems and most of the basics summing gears.

I am also very happy from my" wides zombies"
Rz + melee splash+ added cold + iir + inc aoe
In a few link i wl add melee phys et conc effec, and replace added cold by FA when i ll buy a quality one's. And for dps il replace iir by remote mine. I still have to 6L and successfully corrupt it.

I lose the +40% hp from chobber but i get + 19% dmg from the corrupted circlet. And melee slash even if a bit less damage mean they almost always hit something.

Im a lso wondering about respecting EE. I use eva nownnn even if i hate their sound and really miss the "WLAAAOUF" sfx of the BM when they set everything ablaze.

Guys please keep this thread on topic, no need to discuss other builds here, every build has its own pros and cons.

So, I was thinking a +1 level corrupted Tabula Rasha/lvl 21/20% corrupted Raise Zombie gem/lvl 3 corrupted empower gem will create lvl 26 Zombies? That will be insane.

Similarly +2 minions helm/lvl 3 corrupted empower/ and 21/20% summon skeleton will create lvl 26 skeletons as well and that can become pretty handy.

Really looking forward to get that someday. 6 link snapshotted lvl 26 zombies will be more powerful than most of the builds both defensively and offensively IMO.
