Cloak of defiance is on the cheap side of things. Shouldn't be too hard to get one. That 40% MoM + AA is quite powerful, am still surprised when I walk around in high level maps with like 500 armor and feeling like flies are hitting me =P.

You are saying MoM and Cloak all the time yet the passive tree, which I think is updated since it says "The Cloak style(AA/MoM/EB)[Currently using this build]", does not have Mind over matter.

So are you actually going down to MoM in the tree and have 40% (and the passive tree is not updated) or you just use the Cloak for 10%??

Mind over matter comes from the unique chest piece =P.

nope for me its still the standard league gear...dunno if you mean that though.

edit: It is updated. My bad didnt look before I posted =). I would be interessted in your ambush league gear though.

You can check it on the wiki if your not familiar with the damage formula, but those are the correct figures.

Its just an example to illustrate why MoM+AA feels so tanky compared to armour. The short answer is because it tanks better than armour up to about 4k hits. Not to mention the added benefit vs elemental damage, provided you have the mana regen to keep up.

I would like to show you my ambush gear but its a piece of crap haha I was using random blues I found up until I started mapping. Am basically still using Tabula Rasa chest to 6L my evagelist and 5L my zombies so when they die (and they do die a lot b/c of the gem level) I can constantly re-summon on the fly. Am not that tanky on ambush so I have to be careful. Vaal summon skeletons definitely helps a lot. Basically get as much +life on gear as possible and cap your res. Also es if you can get it.

Ah ok, so 10% MoM and you are not taking MoM on the passive tree because its too far. Got it.

How much do you think Cloaks cost nowadays on Standard?

Its actually 40% mom

The chest states: gives MoM and 10% damage taken to mana.

You can get one for less than 20chaos for sure.

wow really? Is this in any way balanced? 40% universal damage reduction on 1 item (as long as you have mana). Now I'm amazed :)
