You have answered your own question with the last part of your text. For exampled 4l head piece:
Remote mine
Raise Spectre
Minion Life
Increase Area

Put raise spectre on you skill bar 1 (can be any except lmb).
Cast the skill.
This will put a remote mine on the ground on or near the corpse of a mob.
Detonate the mine using the 'd' key.
Voila, you have your spectre.


However, reading the posts here I think minion dmg give better dps than remote mine.


Yea it wasnt working before because i was linking CoD before laying the mine, i got it working now.
So one last question. Can saomeone confirm that if you get the links up with remote mine / RS/ minion dmg/ inc burn/ etc, lay the mine on the corpse, then equip CoD, when you blow up the mine the RS will have CoD buff?

It works. the only thing i want to know is, do you need to go to town and remove it for it to stay on that spec, or can you just remove it to lay trap for next spec then put it back in.

20/20 minion damage = +92% increased minion damage (applies to BM's dot from what I've read)
20 increased burning damage = 59% increased burning damage (also applies to BM's dot)

so what am i missing?

Nothing, minion damage is better, unless you don't have the right socket color, for instance it's not that easy to get blue sockets on chober, I myself use burn damage because of that.[/quote]

I read through all 197 pages trying to figure out if Trap and Mine Passives worked with BM.
I use RS with Mine, Trap, ConE, and IBD via Sunblast. I've found various responses saying the Mine/Trap passives do or don't apply to BM's UF.

They are also worded completely differently though. With them being fairly new nodes, I wouldn't doubt that they don't function the same. It takes a fairly unique situation to even double dip into those nodes (using a remote mine AND trap support connected to a skill).

If they don't work that way, then those nodes are somewhat useless. Either way, Trap Support + Sunblast are still superior options to any other supports for BMs now after you have remote mine and Conc effect.

This is exactly the information i was looking for. Thank you for providing this. This has confirmed to me that it is infact better to not only grab expeditious munitions, but also go and grab Saboteur at the cost of travelling to one of the other minion nodes.


Can someone please help me verify if the nodes do affect BM? Do they double dip? If I took "High Explosives" (Trap & Mine Penetrates 10% Resistances) does it apply to BM? I don't have regrets to test out the nodes :(
Do the base elemental resistances of zombies increase every level, or they are at 0 before lvl 20?
Wiki only shows lvl 20 resistances and ?? for the rest. :/
Any other tips for keeping minions alive? It seems almost every map that I run with a full party results in some minion losses. Then everyone moans as I have to go and create some more. =(

Minion life / Vitality / disipline / seething flasks / purity auras / minion life nodes / grace / determination / min + totem ele resistance

My BM's only die to temple piety, the villa trap boss and evangelists mostly. They dont die if i solo, which is actualy better. Faster, easier.. i get all the loot, and nobody gets any last hits but me.. *shrug* I only party to enter higher level maps than i currently have, and only when i get in free for being high MF+damage. Currently 107/464 and still working on upgrading, looks like i'm going to have to craft to get any higher.

Would be a fascinating use of mechanics if this actually work. I was pretty sure the mine/trap damage referred to damage skills being cast only, but then again, CoD works the same (despite the wording simply being xxx more damage, instead of 'Mine does xxx more damage'.)

All the more if the penetration nodes worked.

so for BM,
RS+Remote Mine+Trap+conc effect+minion damage
is the most ideal for 5L dps wise? then replace trap with CoD before detonating?

currently running in BBGGR
RS+mine+incAOE+Burn damage+green socket empty, throw in cod before detonation.

worth to rechromatic my 5L to BBBGG? it's ev/es so no big deal.
