{3.2.0} Spectral Gods: [Life Based Spectre/Golem Hybrid Summoner | Clear Speed | End Game Bossing]

Well Piety tends to give a tough time. I'm using level 14 CoD zombies, and if they would stay around long enough they can get it done. I lose the B.M. right away.

I was hoping I could get some advice.

I'm running purity/hatred/clarity

Don't have the set-up to a point where i can run any more auras. I'm unsure how much vitality will help as either the fight is over in 10-15s or i'm in big trouble. (i have the animation flasks of course). It seems as though I should try vitality in place of hatred and see how that works. Generally speaking do I need to have all 4/5 auras faceroll her ?

My zombie gem is only level 17. I have +2 helm, but I need that magical 18. I suspect that's most of my problem. is that most of my problem ?

something that I think is also strange is that I get "bad starts".

Sometimes the skellies box her in and the zombies get after her and she goes down pretty quick, even without CoD zombies.

About 2/3 of the time she lightning warps away. The zombies follow her, get out of range of purity, have 0 elem resist, and get killed _quickly_. Now it's piety, me and the skellies, and that doesn't go well.

Haven't found a good strategy to counter this. I'm wondering maybe if I should make sure and _avoid_ boxing her in so that she won't LW out there.

Are you firing off all your animation flasks to tank her ice phase?

do u have access to lightning warp to warp after her after she warps?

Have you tried freeze mines to perma freeze her?

doh! i'm firing off flasks but only 2 of them are instant. now i get it. the other thing i just realized is that i still have minion instability. aaargh. i'm getting tired of smacking my forehead.

yes i have lightning warp, but by the time i figure out where she is the cold phase has nuked the zombies. actually the lightning ball will take them out. effective level is only 19.

you know i was leveling up freeze mine for just that application and then stopped. i figured they would never work on a boss. you mean they will ??? without taking additional mine passives ? amazing...

I'm off to get the flasks and spec out of MI.

Thanks everyone who has contributed to this thread. It has been very useful. I had some questions on the interaction of necromantic aegis and snapshotting.

If I'm using a shield such as Matua Tapuna, will minions receive the Aura and the Tar Spread bonus from snapshotting OR afterwards if I had it equipped.

@Plasticeyes, which Piety are you talking about? Cruel, Merciless, Map?
I tried doing Merciless Piety with Cruel [level 50] BMs, and got her to 30% before all my minions died and I had to get someone to finish her for me. But when I went back, actually WITH Merciless [level 65] BMs, I killed her in 1 second...

Merciless piety with merciless BMs.

The BMs die quickly.

I'm positive that minion instability is not helping at this point, it means my 4500 life zombies are losing 1500 life which is kind of a big deal. I need to spec out, as the guide says, and try again.

My problem is that I'm having a really tough time figuring out the best way to buff the minions.

My tree is a bit screwed up due to seeing the guide after i was already high level. My next few allocations are going to be very, very critical and i'm unsure how to proceed...

i'm having a hard time believing you killed her in 1 sec. what level gems ? i curse her with vulnerability and enfeeble. maybe i should try vulnerability and elemental weakness instead. enfeeble is hardly going to help the minions survive.

if she gets away with the lightning warp it's really a pain in the ass to get after her...

i have a 4L RRBB +2 minion helm. CoD RZ melee splash multistrike

I have a 5L chest. am I better off putting the zombies in the 5L chest so i can add a minion life gem, or am i better off with the +2 levels ? haven't quite figured it out. it seem that if the gems were 18, i.e. effectively 20, they are better off in the helm, but at 17(19) i might be better of raising the zombies from the chestpiece.

also i'm not snapshotting because i have nothing to snapshot with, LOL, i.e. no chobber, grasp, etc...

Yeah this is why i have been recommending end game summoners to spec out of MI. Its actually way more detrimental than beneficial once your minions attacks/spells do more dps than the explosion itself.

I never spec'd into MI at all. You DO NOT want your minions to die, because you can't resummon them, without wasting minutes with the whole Cast on Death fiasco... -.-"

As for Piety, she does no damage to my Minions, even with her ice form. How are your BMs dying? No Vitality/Rejuv Totem or Purity?

Try using an undying evangel for piety. Just make sure you have incre duration and make sure she isn't in the bubble.
