I am also getting the same lag spike-like effects, where nothing happens for 2-3 seconds and then finally catches up.

Have just done a quick 30 min play, just in Fellshrine. The difference is AMAZING.


From Auckland:
Previously playing on the American gateway at ~260 - 280 ping
Combat often felt unresponsive, delay between the attack and the enemy taking the damage.

Now on the Australian gateway, its come all the way down to a steady 66-67 ping
Combat actually feels like I'm connecting with the monster! Yay!

As mentioned by others there appear to be spikes, every couple of minutes to several times a minute my ping will momentarily jump to 400+ and enemies are all unresponsive, cant pick up items during the spike also.


One zone transition was a little slower than normal, but didn't notice much difference on the others (Zone transitions are generally very quick for me)



If the spiking issues can be resolved, this will have greatly improved the gaming experience for me. Props for going with a gateway down here.

I tried the AU gateway from Singapore. 150-190 ms ping.

60-80 ping from Roma, Queensland. Not bad.

Server seems a bit spiky but nothing game breaking.
