What do you think of the new 0.2 patch?

dont have full knowledge of all the changes but the towers look alot better now

as for new class well i look forward to all the ice herald, spark, meta...same thing different class builds

nerfs, more stuffed in...just respecc to flavour of the month build or level new class to flavour of the month build

but balance endgame etc seem the same

seems like superficial patch to me

Not enough there to tempt me back

No, I don't. They did however add 6 portals to common maps, 5 portals for 1 affix etc. This is a move in the right direction. They didn't completely ignore the request for more portals.

[edit] GGG have made the following clarification: "You will now be able to enter and exit your Maps as much as you like as long as you haven't died. The number of portals is now representative of the number of revives you have during the Map, so if you are able to survive you can come and go as you please."

It's a move in the wrong direction and basically a slap in the face to the complaints involving death penalty. Very little time in the endgame is spent on common maps.

They completely ruined maps that players spend the most time on. They completely ruined an already bad trade system and loot find with this decision.

Have fun sitting in your hideout waiting 10-20 minutes for a trade or wasting more time on the trade site whispering players.

You can have as many complaints about the game as you like. It's my opinion that GGG are taking into account what players want while trying to stay relatively true to their original design intent. Feel free to vent. It's not going to change my opinion.
i'm hyped :p can't wait to trye new stuff/event never been a minion enjoyer but i'll definitly trye the new specter gem, titan probably :) .

As for the map change i don't rly care afaic it was fine enough before but i don't mind the change exept for the fact we obv need to be able to use the mono portal on juiced map for trading or looting but i think they aknowledge the issue in q&a so we should be fine.

. too much thing are taken from poe 1 and transfered to poe 2, good and bad at the same time, wanted new mechanics on craft especiaIIy.

. biggest probIem in my opinion: you cannot choose the map you want to run, if i was them i wouId just Iet the pIayer have the chance to choose. i suppose that the guys who are working on the game wanted this, and i can understand why.
because they want us to have difficuIties, diversity, to feeI that's an arpg action etc... but the truth is, that is not good, objectiveIy, as a pIayer.
if you want to make them feeI good to run for pIayer and keep that immersive design atIas map, you can just use the biome to modify the appearrence of a map.
where the dot are (desert, gIaciaI, toxic, sunny etc..) the map wiII be snowy even if it's a savannah (no chiIIed ground or anything) just visuaI, Iike a skin and maybe after yes you can think of what can we do with thoses biomes ? what reward ? what boss speciaIIy etc... Iike the corruption you shows up.

. aIso by pIaying a bit yesterday, movespeed is a reaI probIem too

You are still going to play current meta build. Your maps are still going to have 1 portal, if you run rare maps. The problems that exist now are still going to exist.

Fracture orb, recombinator, 2.5X more omen appereance, unique map for essences farming.

It's not a lot. And still waaaayyyy too much Rng layered as always (At this point I'm sure of it. This game will just add layer upon layer of more RNG crafting just like PoE1). It's not much but it's something "new" (recycled from PoE1)
