Legacy of Phrecia Endgame Specialisation System

Nice more poe2 beta testing for us
I am very much looking forward to the new system.
The atlas tree, outside of notables, has more or less been redundant since the scarab reword.
Want to play harvest? Use some harvest scarabs, find/buy a crop rotation relic (or don't) and harvest away. Same goes for other league content.
You lose out on some 'free' rarity and map tiers without the atlas tree, but you can still pick/force any content with scarabs.
Some scarabs were worthless (map contains Niko/Alva/etc) since you could get 100% on the atlas tree.
"
One of the major changes is that it turns specializing into different leagues to be less deterministic because it relies on you finding items. On the other hand it adds a layer of excitement to item drops in the Endgame not previously there.

This just reads like: "We wanted to try out another layer of RNG for Map progression".

What's next, as new "Passive skill book" with 120 slots that you need to find McGuffins and slot them in as you level instead of spending Passive skill points?

"The Legacy of Phrecia event will feature a new system for specialising in endgame content, replacing the existing Atlas Passive Skill Tree. As you progress through the endgame you'll find Idols, which can be placed into a new tab on the Map Receptacle UI to modify your maps."

"This allows you to have an infinite number of different Endgame loadouts for content, no more respeccing your Tree at all, now just take out the Idols you don't want, and put in the ones you do. You'll probably end up with a set of Idols for each league."

"Full disclosure, due to these features being experimental for this event we haven't done the layers of Quality of Life that we would normally try to do to accompany it. For example you would want different inventories for different league sets or loadouts but instead during this event you will simply have to do the inventory management yourself."

Removing one of the best end-game systems in an ARPG and replacing it with gamble without any quality of life for the sake of having "exciting drops". At least you could have made the inventory management part have some kind of interaction between the items or something that would make it worthwhile to manage the items but instead it's just tedious inventory management.

Good luck with that one.
if you would add it as a extra to the passive tree it would be ok-ish but replacing it. you already took so much juicing from the maps that it isnt even fun farming anymore. sad that the game i liked gets flipped over this much. even if its only a event. no thanks not even worth thinking about playing this.
still some shit loot to increase the life of the game for an event of 1 month . so you must loot stuff full rng for end game fun

People saying "testing ground for poe2" is just crying kids who never get what they want.
wah wah wah wah.

go play diablo 4 instead, you wont be missed <3
Yikes
Please reconsider this one :( . I was so excited for this event (seriously 19 new ascendancies is cooler than any league I've ever played). Target farming already has a lot of RNG and I realllllly don't want rng to even start target farming something.
This fully kills my excitement for the new classes. Atlas tree makes PoE 1 one of the best games ever. This 'PoE 2 take' focus on more RNG everywhere really shouldn't take root in PoE 1 too. It's amazing right now, don't change the fundamentals for big RNG bullshit bingo please.
