GGG, this is all fine and dandy, but why Unmodifiable Atlas Relics? You intend to give players a limited 1 month time frame for the void event to play with the new Atlas modifiers, and assume that it is going to be enough time for the players to find the Relics they want to experiment with? You're not worried about burnouts or anything?

Can you please explain the plan behind the map relics?
Is this a test for poe1, poe2 or both? Is there a chance the atlas tree will be gone forever in the core game of poe1? Do you understand that this is a massive downgrade for the players? If so, why not mention it and explain you intent? |

I'm conflicted on this.... So it looks like interesting in terms I don't need respec trees but we also need tons of this to drop to make sense and this adds so much crap like necropolis stash polution for no reason and prob we won't even have affinity for this? But if this new vision remove all fun determinism from game it is extremely bad choices and GGG not learning at all what players actually wants...

More PoE2 beta testing disguised as 'content'
Actually vile. | |
" Insert corny "Reinventing the Wheel, 101 Square Theory" meme here. |

They really know how to ruin PoE1 enjoyer's enthousiasm, I still believe they aren't doing it on purpose, but maybe that's worse than if it were on purpose. This is truly worrying, not just for the cumbersome, clunky, sloggy PoE 2 full of chores, but now we also get these vision mechanics in PoE 1.
Well now they can say : "See? Barely any people played this PoE 1 event, they love PoE 2 way more !" Last edited by leto2626#2588 on Feb 10, 2025, 5:02:56 AM

I don't post on these much, but I was really looking forward to trying the alternate ascendancies in end game.
However, if my endgame progression is locked behind pure RNG (rather than say, a combination of the atlas tree, plus access to these relics for example) then I think I'll be giving the event a skip. I absolutely love the atlas tree. I love the way you can really specialise into different mechanics. But if the alternative is to make it so you need to either rely on RNG to get the mechanics you want, or interact with the trade system/multiple people who don't respond to your trade messages, then I'm out. If they do something that combines the two, then I'd be ok with that. Specialise with the atlas, but allow further specialisation with the relics? Or even add extra mechanics that you can't quite fit into your tree with relics? I'd be down for that. Hopefully they rethink this. |
