State of Early Access Update

I don't understand the balance problems. They are only going to compound as the other skills/classes are brought in. Finish the game. Then, balance it. Everything that GGG has listed is inferior to finishing the product. I can guarantee once you bring in the druid, templar, and duelist, the popular classes will spread out and balance will be all out again. Not to mention big final fantasy swords.

The end game maps are still incohesive and really are just a random mess. There is no feeling that you are in a world. It is all just random. I want to visit iconic lands of Wraeclast. Not just a random biome. It makes no sense the story and game has so much detail it is unbelievable and then just make the endgame a mess instead of diving deeper in to the world. I would rather see an atlas of just acts 1-3 and have random maps drop to go in to those areas. Make the rest later, that is fine. This random generated map thing just plain sux. It is like AI trying to make a story, bland, unoriginal and just boring.

Yes, balance is in a bad place and there are few builds that just outshine. But, that will happen. The key is to make all skills end up just leveling stuff the same as the op specs in the game. And at about the same time. Other games diversify by making builds that map quicker, boss quicker, mf better, get materials faster or have a good balance. That diversity should be the focus.

Yes, the end game loot in maps is a let down. But, it also isn't all there. Again, many classes to add. Work on the end product. Balance now is just dumb. Many synergies will come from the added content.

Back to maps. I know POE used maps in the endgame. It was a good system. But, there are times when you just want to play and not have to deal with making making maps, screw around with the atlas. Can we make a feature where you can run an entire road or region. Blend the zones to make them feel seemless. Put some tech behind this thing.

Also, the alternate bosses take way too many resources. Ritual maps are uncommon. 300 splinters to pick up? I have carpal tunnel just clicking 300 times to do one boss. Let's revise this.

Please, work on finishing the game, then make the endgame more engaging, and then after it is all implemented, work on balance. Otherwise you are going to get stuck wasting a lot of resources on something that doesnt even matter until full release.

add more weapons so that we can use howa with different weapons

great idea, what a balanced game that would be, the variety will go crazy
"buff grenades"

- Buff Grenades (Buff-Grenades)
I do not enjoy the 1 death only in maps... it literally makes me want to stop playing right then and there, especially when it is due to a disconnection out of my control... like the rollback today: I lose all the items in my inventory that i collected, AND my map + all the currency used to juice it...

it is just not fun

Yup agree it isn't fun. They're trying too hard to be dark souls mode it isn't rewarding my time.
I am a PS5 user.

This is a bug that occurs after this patch.
The item disappears or cannot be eaten after the item hiding function with the filter on the floor is added.

Please revise it as soon as possible.
"One of the key realizations since launch was how important it is to have more variety in tower maps, so we made it a priority and patched in four more, as well as a better variation on the existing tower map we had."

I disagree. The problem with towers is that I put in a T1 map and then walk for 5 minutes, basically guaranteed to drop no interesting loot.
"We did attempt to address some of the more overpowered player skills, but backed off somewhat in order to prevent breaking peoples characters. We initially thought that there would be more tolerance for this kind of thing during Early Access, but we were incorrect! We will save changes like this for larger balance updates."

I disagree. The very first balance patch bricked my comet monk. That hurt particularly because it was my first build that got to endgame.

But now that I've played herald of ice for a month, I want you to nerf all the time!

Please rethink this ideology!
With regards to the map objective of killing all rare monsters.

In POE we clear maps because it's worth the time.
In POE2 it is not worth the time.
Perhaps due to league mechanics giving much more loot and boss encounters. Perhaps due to the traversal of map nodes on the atlas.
Reading the replies on this post made me really sad.

I feel like POE2 has become a game for the masses.
I feel like POE is my home where I get the GGG I love.
"To start with, we improved the rewards of endgame substantially by buffing drops from rare monsters and decreased the difficulty at the start of endgame."

This must be a joke, right? Drops are shitty as always. I probably have "crafted" on 50 scepters and none of them had spirit and +level on minion skills at the same time. Just today i bricked a scepter with 70 spirit. First the spirit was halfed. Then it got increased by a small amount and in the end it was complety removed and never ever was a +Level for minions on the item.

And all that cost me 3 Orbs of Annulment and 20 Orbs of Chaos.

This game is a fucking time waste. People just got baited by streamers that had special accounts and could do stuff with their items other people will never ever get.

I get crushed in T15 Maps even with resistance cap, 8k+ES just because without the needed mods my damage is so shitty that i get swarmed by mobs in no time.

The game is nothing like Dark Souls where you get infinite tries once you reach the boss' campfire.
