State of Early Access Update

Breach Tab and Expedition Locker would be sick.
The game looks good,
but the mapping is terrible. There are too many obstacles on the maps. The maps are too large. There are dead ends everywhere, each hiding a rare monster. The rare monster is not immediately visible on the map!! Why??

Atlas: The visibility of maps and connections between them needs improvement, especially in mountainous areas.
There should be some kind of search function and highlighting for the maps we want to run. At least make them blink or something! Right now, I have to hover over each map with my mouse just to check the name.

LOOT FILTER: It’s 2025, and this game still doesn’t have an in-game loot filter. LE has it, GD has it, but POE2 doesn’t? Come on!

If you are so insistent that "every item matters" and every craft results in trash, then at least make items drop identified. That way, I can pick up only those that have some chance of being good from the start.

And once again, LOOT FILTER IN-GAME!!

We'll never get anything remotely close to filterblade solution in-game. LE got it right, ok, but the game doesn't have this insane amount of variable drops besides the gear. And GD filter is... very limited at best.

Making a mechanic more tedious doesn't make it meaningful.

REMOVE THE INFINITE MAP SYSTEM AND GIVE US ACTUAL CRAFTING, NOT RNG SIMULATOR.

it was ironic that you guys said you focused more on the endgame yet the campaign was a far better experience than endgame.

It's so tedious to set up towers for 30mins-1hour just to have the intended endgame experience. not to mention the insufferable maps you would encounter while mapping to towers (Vaal Factory, Vaal Foundry, Augury, and Mire).

It also doesn't help that you spend all of those hours just to have a RNG drop.

First you have the rng barricade of the ILVL, then you get rng barricade of Item type, then you have to think about RNG barricade of prefixes (imagine getting a shitty prefix with the highest lvl in tiers, now that item isn't "craftable"), and vice versa for suffixes.

THERE IS NO REAL CRAFTING. ARPG DOESN'T MEAN RNG DROPS, CAN WE ACTUALLY GET A REAL CRAFTING MECHANICS IN GAME WHERE WE GET A GUARANTEED FOR WHAT WE WANT TO HAVE IN EXCHANGE OF OUR TIME SPENT IN OUR GAME.

I am pretty sure I speak for the majority when I say that WE WOULD RATHER HAVE A CRAFTING WHERE IT GUARANTEES THE MOD THAT WE WANT IN EXCHANGE OF MORE HOURS SPENT TO ACHIEVE THAT MOD THAN A CRAFTING MECHANIC WHERE IT ROLLS ITEM MODS LIKE YOU'RE IN A LOTTERY RAFFLE.

IT ALSO DOESN'T HELP THAT OMENS ARE SO RARE THAT IT COST SO MUCH THAT IT'S NOT WORTH ON USING IF YOU'RE NOT TRYING TO MAKE A MIRROR ITEM.

So again GGG, scratch the infinite map system and renew the current crafting system those are the major thing why alot of people are quitting because like as I said earlier MAKING SOMETHING MORE TEDIOUS DOESN'T MAKE IT MORE MEANINGFUL AND FUN..

I hope you really understand what the playerbase wants and not what you guys think are right. I have really enjoyed POE2 and have 600 hours. Until some changes happen on the map system and crafting I will not be back as I already know how the endgame will be, thanks for the game and I hope you guys make the right decisions :)

+1000
That and the push back. Remove it please. Nothing is fun being pushed around by trash mobs. And why dont we have items drop ID? So we can use filter to hide trash. I know you love d2 but goddamn the game is 25 year old. Get over it. You have better game. Just improve stuffs you have in poe 1 then put it in poe2. Why are you still so obsessed a 25 year old game?
I will vote with my money for these change. And i hope peole with the same opinion vote with thier money as well. No more supporter pack until i see you talk about these change. Money speak loudest!

Poe2 really needs autoloot system, its very frustrating and exausting to clear the map in 4 min then spend more 8 min to pick up exalteds, chaos, splinters, shards, fragments, catalysts, etc, it really makes the game boring, and if we can autoloot some items like we alresdy do with gold it would be a great improvement in the experience. I feel like the garbage man having to walk trhough the whole clear map to pick up valuables on the floor, and i actually spend more time picking up items than really playing the game.

We did attempt to address some of the more overpowered player skills, but backed off somewhat in order to prevent breaking peoples characters. We initially thought that there would be more tolerance for this kind of thing during Early Access, but we were incorrect! We will save changes like this for larger balance updates.

HAHAHAHAHA WHAT???????

THIS IS THE POINT OF EARLY ACCESS

PEOPLE GOT ANGRY BECAUSE YOU DIDN'T GIVE THEM FREE RESPECS AFTER NERFING THEIR BUILD

IT HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH TOLERANCE

THIS IS MERELY A PITIFUL EXCUSE FOR YOUR LAZINESS

> do nothing
> blame the players

fucking insane

yeah?
"buff grenades"

- Buff Grenades (Buff-Grenades)
Honestly my simple take on Poe2, as a casual player (max 2h daily play),b I don’t find the mapping system entertaining. I preferred the old approach, where i knew which map payout i like, and play around it. Currently now some great mods roll on a map that that's unplayable with that content. It's a serious issue. I have to run to towers buff the content for 1 -2 days to prepare for a mapping session, only to end up disappointed on the layouts i have. I don’t see a point in understanding which layout like, as i don’t have the power to not roll good content on the maps i don’t like. This is a serious downside to the whole atlas system. Unfortunately i believe that the map layout should rather come from the way stone itself rather than the atlas itself...
Also number of times, despite i run a pretty enjoyable build (demon form archmage spark, with ~8k es buffed by grim feast and 4k Mana (MOM) ) i still end up dying from time to time, on a map i would really love to complete. The 1 death is one of the things that annoy me the most. I had a few times rage quit moments, and totally would love to get rid of them. I only continue to play because i love these type of games.
I personally like the way the gems are redone, yes i miss a few skills, and cant wait to tryout some righteous fire, or blade vortex, or traps, or winter orbs – that was always my favorite type of content.
What I don’t like to be fair is the crafting system. I miss alteration orbs pretty greatly. The chaos orb rework, is to some extend fine and solves that problem. I had a few 20+ div chaos orb slams and they were enjoyable.

I love the Alva currency exchange (although I already mis clicked 1 div for nothing) . As a Xbox player I’m really happy that I’m currently part of the global economy, it makes finding the correct gear much easier and user friendly (unfortunately you need to pay for xbox gold to participate in it, which is a downside). I do believe it could be great for the economy to have a “alva” system for unique, and for example base items (normal) which could help with crafting. Overall I believe the trading system could be based on the alva way to all of the items, preferably with a web browsing possibility. I understand that the overall GGG want the players to play the game, and not play in their hideout as a add to cart game, but currently that’s what it actually is. Sometimes completing a trade is somewhat challenging. It could be a lot easier with alva trading system. If your’re afraid that ppl don’t play the game, just increase the gold req, for completing the trade on rare, lower on unique – this can be managed to some extent. This way even the offline offers may be available, and that could help with crafting system, and the console players aren’t required to purchase xbox gold feature to actually participate in the game (as currently if you don’t pay you’re a forced SSF – which I believe should not be the case by design right?)
you have another big problem: the necro witch class

its riddiculous low damage with lvl 32-33 minions in breach domains or against endgame bosses while others 1 shot everything

please fix that or im out.

100% on the right track.
Some love for console/controller players too.
Also, a few QOL features please. Like why do I need to move things from my stash to my inventory to salvage, disenchant, sell, reforge. Why can't I just do all that from a button press in my inventory. Speaking of reforge, please make it more predictable and worth ppls time.
Can't wait for some updates to endgame and some skill changes 👍🏽
1. The current Atlas system is bad. I don't know why you didn't use the good one you already had.

2. Top-down RPGs are not Souls likes. They're almost literally opposite in design principles and approach. Trying to make PoE2 Souls like just makes it tedious. It's the least fun I've had playing either genre.

3. Balancing when you're still pumping out characters and skills is like wiping between turds. You're wasting time.

These are just my opinions, but I've heard a lot of people echoing these sentiments. We like PoE. Why are you trying to not be like PoE? That's why we're here.
