Serious question for people who enjoy poe2 more than poe1
" Yeah, after they will rebalance mechanics and, hopefully, monsters HP/Damage in order to slow pace down, endgame should become much more fun. And after that, they can just slow improve it when it already will be in fine state. Then maybe people like OP will not terrorize people with demanding to explain why players do not want to play PoE 1 :) |

" Simple, Poe 1 is only a good game if you've been playing it for years. PoE1 is the biggest cluster fk of janky systems that are poorly if at all explained, has absolutely ZERO beginner friendly mechanics, and offers little to no support from the community when yuo are new. Poe2 is at least understandable, plain and simple. PoE1 is the better game if you've been playing for the past 5-6 leagues, otherwise, for lack of a better term, its actually garbage. PoE2 is unrefined, a little buggy, and trialling new systems, its evolving, it won't be perfect or anything close to it for a long time, but i take solice knowing this is the worst it will ever be, whereas PoE1 is only going to get worse and worse and worse and worse the more leagues and mechanics are introduced. |

The reason I like poe2 is because it's simple and fresh, I have played poe1 for 2k hours and I still can't handle the crafting or even afford it and it's a major part of the late end game. There are many mechanics and I don't like the ones that are usually profitable. So my typical league lasts about 2 weeks and then I'm done.
I'm still going with poe2 about 250 hours clocked. Had a blast in the campaign, can't remember the last time I was so focused during tutorial :D I started as blood mage was a struggle but it was fun kind of struggle to find what works in the game. Then I discovered DD and now I have killed every map boss (T1 only). Now to be honest I would like that the whole end game would be just like the acts, a struggle to survive and not a zoomfest with multi-screen clears. So TLDR; poe2 is better because there is way less to learn to have fun. There are many issues, but they do not have that much impact on the personal experience. I would rather GGG focus on poe2 then divide work force to please poe1 players, but that's just me and I understand that poe2 is not for everyone. |

" Bro, because it's not. Layouts don't feel like they fit current in-game leagues. Like, fk the ritual altars in a corner, then there is a tornado, and mobs bodyblock you... Oh, yeah, your character is evasion-based. The thing is, your original post was about why people prefer PoE 2 over PoE 1, NOT WHY people prefer league mechanics or layouts in PoE 2 over PoE 1. People here answer the question you asked, not the question you were thinking about while writing it. The reasons are: EVERYTHING BEFORE the things you wanna know about is better in PoE 2. And, I mean, typical "endgame is what really matters" is always an excuse. But people play games for various reasons, not just to farm breach on flat dune layout and to get that dopamine spike once you get a good drop. It might be the case for you, but it is certainly not for the majority of PoE 2 players. |

Yeah i wasn't that interested in chain running the same map for thee months which was basically the poe1 endgame, so by lvl 90 i got too bored to bother and went back to pob. That doesn't mean i didn't do my share of endgame grind, like what else do you think i was doing?
