How did he scam you when you hit accept on the trade after hovering over the item and looking at it

Because if you read anything at all you would know that the graphic IS the exact same on the trade website, AND in the game until identified. Unless if it's been patched recently I've posted evidence for this above.

your picture doesnt load so theres no evidence unless you can repost it
Oh! It's working on my end, but the URL for it is: https://ibb.co/fdRTMdLF
I don't know why the picture is appearing broken in the forum, and that makes a whole lot of sense why no one is understanding then. If this doesn't work let me know and I'll find another way to upload it.

Sure, "no offense" taken. In fact, I laughed. You think that the worlds largest image uploader link is "unsafe" for you. I don't have anything to prove to you. The staff can see my proof, and anyone with a brain and eyeball(s) can click it, and see for themselves. You can lead a horse to water, but you can't make it drink. Am I right?

Humor me, what image uploader source would you like me to use since imgBB isn't good enough for you?

Here's a take:

First, it's interesting to see all of those posting here who even in a choice between the seller and the buyer, choose to blame the buyer in this case...So, the thread is likely a good source for accounts to add to the trade-ignore list.

While it might be tempting to allocate blame to 1 party, there are at least 3 who share blame in this case.

~70% of the blame - The scammer, who could have instead chosen to not cheat the buyer.
~20% of the blame - The buyer, who could have exercised more caution during each step of the transaction.
~10% of the blame - The trade facilitator (GGG), who could (in the same way that they identify the requested item for the seller in the trade stash tab) indicate that the item in the trade window either matches or does not match the item that was originally requested by the buyer.

Additionally, the structure of this game protects clever scammers from repercussions, including vigilante justice, by keeping zones instanced (player-characters separated) and thus preventing wronged parties from seeking justice through their own action (PvP-style wrecking shop in the scammer's hideout and maps). This is a format decided-upon by the game facilitator (GGG), which adds to their share of the blame in connection with this inherent protection of scammers.

Humorously -- I think it would be appropriate and funny for rip-off transactions, once discovered as such, to present the seller with an opportunity to make things right, and if the seller refuses, all of their instances become open to the wronged party (any character in their account) as PvP enabled for as long as the wronged party desires.

"Let the Buyer Beware" (caveat emptor): This philosophy when expressed purely is harsh. Sure, the buyer does bear some responsibility for ensuring that they are receiving that which they expected, but there can always be misunderstandings and deceptions that go beyond a reasonable degree of investigation. Some level of 3rd-party oversight and possible intervention are important in the avoidance of a marketplace being overly-infested with scammers.

Devius.....those are both astramentis. YOU made the mistake in the trade, not the site. That unid amulet can't EVER BE struggle. It is an Astramentis.

That is all your picture proves....that YOU made a mistake and fell for a trick.
Starting anew....with PoE 2
