Dear GGG, Stop Trying to Make a Game For Everyone; Stick to your Core POE1 Customers
" Stop deluding yourself into believing that anything the devs said about PoE1 automatically applies to PoE2. Because it doesn’t. The playerbase is a lot bigger and former PoE1 players are the minority. Low cost EA key lol. I bought the 60 € tier. That is a box price for most AAA games but you wouldn’t know that since you got it for free. Talk about cheap. Lol at you assuming a whole lot about me and calling me clueless. I bet I’ve got a lot more hours in PoE2 than you do. And lol at private profile comment. I just never bothered enabling it. But have it your way little buddy. |

" You clearly don't know what a "Liberator of Wraeclast" supporter is. Try reseaching sometime before talking. The influx of ADHDF game hopping D4 players that the EA has drawn will not hang around through the second wipe. I would be surprised if they even hung around the first. They will moan and complain at the wipes. The new influx of players wont be playing this game in a year. The POE1 players, if they fix the game, will play the next 10 years. |
|
" Fix which one in particular, the early game where the advertising material are focused of? or the POE 1.5 endgame? since right now it's clearly a different game between 2 phases. |
|
" I have posted about all of those specifics in other threads but I enumerated the items in the OP. If you cant be bothered to read that then I will just thank you for the bump. |

" I think PoE 1 players will never like this game, because one-button stage will start quite late, so they will always suffer from not being able to one-shot everything right away and cry how much better PoE 1 is. And because they don't see any advantages in combat system over PoE 1, which is the main point of PoE 2. So the question is will people who enjoy acts 1-3 like the game. It depends on GGG's decisions about endgame. Right now they are on the way of making game for noone. Last edited by Suchka_777#4336 on Jan 24, 2025, 2:36:09 AM

" A link would be suffice, not everyone is a forum dweller fyi |

" "Balancing isn't the problem" then proceeds to mention a specific perspective on a balancing problem (that I agree with). Yeah let's just cherry pick the other key part I mentioned. The missing content. We are missing another ascendancies on existing classes, tons of uniques, new classes, skills, weapons, and endgame mechanics. All the vets writing off POE2 as bad are doing so in bad faith. Again, need a new toy thrown into POE1 so we can all focus on feedback for the real future of GGG : ) |

I'm not going to read the whole thread, but simple answer to your thread title is "no".
Longer answer is here: If they focus on POE1 players in POE2, they will effectively split the playerbase of POE1 between two games and not attracting new players. That will definitely damage POE1 and POE2 at the same time. That's why your title suggestion is a bad approach. |

do you really think ggg knows what they're doing?
" uhhhhh what? poe 2 is more one-buttonish than poe 1, and is certainly easier than poe 1 post-campaign all my poe 1 builds rely on like at least 3-4 buttons to work, but most poe 2 builds need 2 buttons at most with some exceptions like dark effigy builds and pure unarmed builds poe 2 has less buttons, less random deaths/one shots, less content, less gearing options, no crafting, no mechanics to learn/master it's 100x easier than poe 1. I think both games are simply trash atm but poe 1 is miles ahead in every aspect "buff grenades" - Buff Grenades (Buff-Grenades) Last edited by auspexa#1404 on Jan 24, 2025, 3:16:06 AM

" Yeah that's the plan. I just wanted to gather a bit knowledge first. |
