PoE 2 is cooking GPUs and CPUs Actually Dangerous to PC.

not only are they swinging the nerf bat all around, but theres serious performance issues. Check your temps and tell me its not turning into a straight up turkey roaster in maps.

3070 ti and top of the line i9 both with WATERCOOLING.

Every other game is fine benchmarks etc, this games running so much resources its actually dangerous, hope you guys got marshmellows.

The opposite problem for me here, the game is actually not even using my resources, my GPU/CPU stays at 60-70% at most, however, my FPS stays at 70-80, temps below 60c, and nothing bottlenecking.

Either way, your post lacks any "weight" as you don't even share any performance logs. Seems more like a (clueless)rant than actual feedback.

XMP enabled?

Yes, both RAM at 3200Mhz. Again, I doubt anything is bottlenecking, its a lack of optimization, the performance is area specific.
If you don't like the high temps, you have to cap your fps.

RTX 4090 and Intel 13900k watercooled here.

GPU usage is consistently at 100% so I'm not bottlenecked.

Game engine seems to target 8 main threads (no HT) and runs very well on my machine getting around 160 fps @ 4k with DLAA and max settings.

No idea what you are referring to with cooking PCs, seems sound to me.

It's people blaming the game for their computer issues basically. Which could be 1 of a million different issues. I'm running a very unstable 8086k right now and it always gets hot (not delided). But I'm not getting past 72c so it's gravy and running at around 100fps or more. For those that see 72c and gasp - 8086k's always run hot. Temps are specific to individual parts.

My 13900k is delidded and is suffering degradation @ 5.8Ghz all core so no warranty rip. Gonna buy a 9800X3D when anyone has them in stock in the new year.

If you doubt anything is bottlenecking you don't really understand how it works. There is ALWAYS a bottleneck one way or another otherwise you'd have a million FPS.

Only performant issue I've noticed is if there's a ton of ground Lightening effect my FPS half, still over 80 fps though lol.

I AM TALKING ABOUT MY PC, my general HARDWARE ISN'T bottlenecking, whats so difficult to understand here?? The game is an unoptimized mess, currently. There are way more performance issues than what I just described from my end.

Every computer has a bottleneck, the fact you do not understand that means you know nothing about computers. Your setup is just not utilizing 100% of your gpu or cpu. Based on your components, you are probably on low settings.

Yeah, you are wrong, I am at max settings but GI at High. Try again. Resolution: 1080P

I legitimately cannot play the game right now, hitting temps of 83c fully custom watercooled.

CPU and GPU are going nuts

Frame rates are spiking hard and all over the place.

Cant play the game.

Share specifics. This doesn't help anyone.
Seems more like an issue with your PC than an optimization issue of the game itself? You could limit the framerate or temperature on your cpu/gpu.
I currently play on a notebook and play at 75°C, all smooth and nice. POE2 runs better on medium settings (with fsr activated) thhan poe1 on lowest settings for me. I therefore would go as far as to say, the game is very well optimized for its early access state.
