Continuous Stuttering/Lag Despite Stable FPS and Internet in PoE 2 Early Access
It might be that the game is not optimized yet.

From Reddit "The stuttering is caused by lockstep network mode and moderately high ping (above 60), the game gets out of sync and fails to resync properly and causes horrid stuttering. This can be disabled in POE1 but POE2 does not allow for predictive network mode. The only way to fix it is to restart the entire client and resync. Nothing you can do about it (even tried edting the settings file manually to force adaptive mode, doesnt work)" https://www.reddit.com/r/PathOfExile2/s/5r5oOv4veZ |

" Yo, yeah I'm having the same problem and pretty much the same PC setup as yourself, tried the same fixes. From the in game tracking for frame and network etc (F1) I'm running decent frame rate between 60-120 in combat, but ill randomly get a network spike from 10ms up to 1000+ for about a second. Sometimes only once and then fine for a few seconds. Other times multiple spikes and then it settles. I can't work out what the issue is as I too have decent internet speeds (similar to yours) done multiple test, and hunting for a fix on the forums. Likewise, I don't experience this problem with other games. weirdly, my friends are having no issues... so I'm totally stumped. |

same problem with similar specs also amd ryzen cpu and nvdia graphics card also did the same specs. Its very hard to play because with mercenary the weapon sometimes jams and doesnt shoot and sometimes shoots 6x in a row really fast

I'm having the same issue. Was fine yesterday. Just started today. 12/7
I've tried everything I know to do. Even stutters in town doing nothing. |
|
Same, was fine yesterday but today the stuttering is pretty much unplayable

Has everyone updated their graphics drivers? nvidia just relased new drivers optimized for poe2

Updated to new drivers, no difference.
Stuttering is super noticeable and repeatable by twirling your character around with the mouse while standing still. Causes cpu to spike and sometimes causes the shader to spike. I'm at a constant 30ms so network lag doesn't seem to be my problem. |

Same problem here. I get a steady 39-44 FPS but it's very choppy.
Intel i7 10700k EVGA 3080 10GB TUF 32 DDR4 ram SSD drives 700/700 Mbs (so no latency issue) Very choppy tried upgrading from Win 10 to Win 11, did nothing. Also noticing the spikes in shader and CPU. Did the high performance settings, nothing have worked. bonk Last edited by KMHoel#3649 on Dec 8, 2024, 2:41:09 AM
